The new master plan integrates both sets of structures, creating a cohesive and flexible urban environment that embraces its layered history. MVRDV led the master plan and designed the southern half of the site, including the centerpiece M Factory. The northern section features commercial buildings designed by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.archdaily.com\/office\/atelier-deshaus?ad_source=search&amp;ad_medium=search_result_professionals\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Atelier Deshaus<\/a>, the West Bund Dome Art Centre by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.archdaily.com\/office\/schmidt-hammer-lassen-architects?ad_source=search&amp;ad_medium=search_result_professionals\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Schmidt Hammer Lassen<\/a>, and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.archdaily.com\/tag\/shanghai\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Shanghai<\/a> West Bund Theatre.
