{"id":288571,"date":"2025-07-24T18:33:14","date_gmt":"2025-07-24T18:33:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/288571\/"},"modified":"2025-07-24T18:33:14","modified_gmt":"2025-07-24T18:33:14","slug":"person-suffers-life-threatening-injuries-as-volvo-and-lorry-crash","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/288571\/","title":{"rendered":"Person suffers life-threatening injuries as Volvo and lorry crash"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Six people have been injured in the crash<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/0_freezing-hill-3_result.jpg\" alt=\"Freezinghill Lane\" loading=\"eager\"  \/>Freezinghill Lane(Image: Submitted)<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">A person has been critically injured in a crash between a car and a lorry between Bristol and <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bristolpost.co.uk\/all-about\/bath-and-north-east-somerset\" target=\"\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Bath<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Emergency services were called to the <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bristolpost.co.uk\/news\/bristol-news\/live-hgv-overturns-crash-between-10372855\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">A420 at Tog Hill at around 11am on Thursday, July 24<\/a>, where the two vehicles collided.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Five people, all adults, were inside the car, a blue Volvo XC90, at the time of the crash.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">One of these was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries, Avon and Somerset Police said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">The other four people also sustained injuries in the crash, though these are not thought to be life threatening or life changing, a spokesperson said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Their next of kin have been informed.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \"><strong class=\"Strong_strong__e2x35\">READ MORE <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bristolpost.co.uk\/news\/bristol-news\/live-hgv-overturns-crash-between-10372855\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Live updates as lorry and Volvo crash closes major road<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">The driver of the lorry, a red Scania tipper truck, was also given medical treatment for an injury not described as life threatening or life changing.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">The lorry overturned and shed its load into the road.
