SINGAPORE, July 24 (Xinhua) — Felipe Perrone capped off a storied international career by inspiring Spain to a 15-13 victory over Hungary in the men’s water polo final at the World Aquatics Championships here on Thursday.<\/p>\n

Perrone, the oldest player in the competition, was playing in his 14th and final world championships. The 39-year-old veteran, who has represented both Spain and Brazil over a career spanning two decades and five Olympic Games, scored two goals in the final, including the decisive one with just 18 seconds remaining.<\/p>\n

In a thrilling final that featured multiple momentum shifts and standout performances, Bernat Sanahuja emerged as a key contributor for Spain with five goals.<\/p>\n

The victory secured Spain’s fourth men’s world title, equaling the records of Hungary and Italy.\u00a0<\/p>\n
