Jannik Sinner has reached the pinnacle of sporting excellence after beating Carlos Alcaraz in the Wimbledon final.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Italian avenged a heartbreaking loss in the French Open final<\/a>, a match where he had three consecutive match points before losing in a fifth-set tiebreak. <\/p>\n

However, Sinner<\/a> established himself as an icon of the sport by winning the Wimbledon title for the first time, defeating Carlos Alcaraz in four sets.<\/p>\n

Another tennis icon, Mansour Bahrami, revealed he spoke to Jannik Sinner before the Wimbledon<\/a> final about his loss to Alcaraz<\/a> in the French Open final.<\/p>\n

Mansour Bahrami, 69, has established himself as a figurehead for everything that is right with tennis. After travelling from Iran to France as a young man, he went on to have a successful professional tennis career.<\/p>\n

Bahrami, who reached the French Open<\/a> doubles final in 1989, has transitioned into an exhibition player in his post-professional career, entertaining fans around the world with his infinite set of tricks and skills on the tennis court.<\/p>\n

Bahrami remains an authority on the tennis landscape. He shared a conversation he had with Jannik Sinner before the Wimbledon final, while speaking to Gigi Salmon on the Courtside Conversations<\/a> podcast.<\/p>\n

Bahrami said: \u201cI was talking to Sinner, just like the day before and walked together all the way to the locker room and I was telling him that \u2018okay it happens again, you have three match points, don\u2019t let it go!\u2019<\/p>\n

\u201cHe laughed and he said \u2018no, I won\u2019t let go!\u2019<\/p>\n

\u201cI thought when he served for the match at 5-4\u2026 but he was very strong, a great job and, really seriously, I am happy for both of them because both of them are great guys, great champions.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was very sad for Sinner to lose, I was very happy to Alcaraz to win in French Open and this was the same thing in Wimbledon. <\/p>\n

\u201cSo somebody has to lose, somebody has to win. They\u2019re both great.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mansour Bahrami\u2019s two doubles titles<\/p>\n

The \u2018trick shot king\u2019 has been known for his wild and wacky invitational performances since retiring from his professional career.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

However, Bahrami achieved some notable things during his playing days.<\/p>\n

Bahrami, who was a stronger doubles player, reached a career-high ranking of 31 in the world in doubles and 192 in singles. <\/p>\n
