Jennifer Lopez<\/a> has reportedly split from her record label in an unexpected move from the entertainer, who is currently on her Up All Night tour<\/a> in Europe and the Middle East.\u00a0<\/p>\n

According to The Sun<\/a>, the “Jenny From the Block” singer has parted ways with music label BGM, which has signed artists like Kylie Minogue<\/a> and Rita Ora.<\/a>\u00a0This\u00a0comes after the release of her album\u00a0This\u00a0Is Me\u2026Now\u00a0in\u00a0February 2024\u00a0failed\u00a0to achieve commercial success, becoming the lowest-charting release of her career.<\/p>\n

At a crossroads<\/strong>

The publication reported that Jennifer had inked a one-album deal with the label, prompting her to release her latest single, “Birthday”, with the smaller label Hundred Days Records.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The star has been performing a slew of unreleased songs on tour, including a track\u00a0that\u00a0appears to delve into her heartbreak following her divorce from Ben Affleck<\/a> in\u00a02024.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“Thank you for the scars you left on my heart\/ I won’t fall apart because of who you are and all your broken parts,” she sang, in a performance of the song “Wreckage of You”.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The 56-year-old is enjoying a sizzling summer one year after she parted ways with her husband and canceled her\u00a0This Is Me\u2026Now\u00a0tour, reasoning that she wanted to spend more time with her family.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“Jennifer is taking time off to be with her children, family and close friends,” a statement from her reps read at the time.\u00a0The mother of two<\/a> then shared an emotional apology to\u00a0her adoring fans,\u00a0and reassured\u00a0them that she would be back.\u00a0<\/p>\n

“I am completely heartsick and devastated about letting you down. Please\u00a0know\u00a0that I wouldn’t do this if I didn’t\u00a0feel that\u00a0it was absolutely necessary.\u00a0I promise I will make it up to you and we will all be together again,”\u00a0she\u00a0said in a statement.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Jennifer’s hiatus<\/strong>

Jennifer opened up to Interview<\/a>\u00a0magazine about the difficult decision and explained why it came about.\u00a0“I was so devastated to let anybody down, but I just needed to be with my kids and myself and really dig down deep into things that were happening in my life,” she said. \u00a0<\/p>\n

“And I’m glad I did, because it was a really difficult\u00a0time for me. Probably the hardest time of my life, but it was also the best time because I got to do that work on myself.”<\/p>\n

“I\u00a0can’t wait to get back out there,”\u00a0she added. “I have the most understanding and loving fans in the world. Some fan bases can be spicy. Mine are just a bunch of lovers.”<\/p>\n

Bigger and better<\/strong>

Her Up\u00a0All Night\u00a0tour\u00a0appears to be a hit, with performances in cities like Madrid, Budapest, Warsaw\u00a0and\u00a0Abu Dhabi.\u00a0Jennifer will then take her tour to Vegas in December, where she will begin her residency at Caesar’s Palace.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Speaking to People<\/a>\u00a0ahead of her tour, Jennifer shared just how excited she was to be on the road again as “it seems like a perfect summer to celebrate being free and being happy”.<\/p>\n

“Just everything in my life right now just feels really healthy and good, and\u00a0I’m ready to get out there and make people sing and dance and have a good time.\u00a0That’s always my goal,”\u00a0she said.<\/p>\n
