{"id":290015,"date":"2025-07-25T07:38:09","date_gmt":"2025-07-25T07:38:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/290015\/"},"modified":"2025-07-25T07:38:09","modified_gmt":"2025-07-25T07:38:09","slug":"video-game-created-to-help-young-peoples-mental-health","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/290015\/","title":{"rendered":"Video game created to help young people&#8217;s mental health"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Ace of Hearts is part of a project called <a href=\"https:\/\/www.psych.ox.ac.uk\/research\/chimes\/attune\" class=\"ssrcss-f6h2dj-InlineLink e1kn3p7n0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ATTUNE, external<\/a> which is using varied arts-based methods, including gaming, to explore young people&#8217;s experiences and understandings of mental health and the impact of negative experiences.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Ainaya, 14, who attended a youth mental health event at Falmouth University, said: &#8220;I play Roblox and Minecraft with my friends and I play Fortnite with my dad.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;Some people have a negative view of gaming but that&#8217;s old fashioned &#8211; older people haven&#8217;t grown up with the games that we have &#8211; gaming is a really fun way of unwinding.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;I definitely think gaming can be used to help, especially when you meet new people.
