Virgil van Dijk has hinted that Liverpool<\/a> are not done yet in the summer transfer window<\/a>. The Reds have splashed \u00a3265million on seven signings so far following the arrival of Hugo Ekitike<\/a>, but still have the money in the bank<\/a> to add further players to Arne Slot<\/a>\u2019s squad.<\/p>\n Ekitike is the latest player to join the defending Premier League<\/a> champions, who will pay Eintracht Frankfurt \u00a369m, plus a further \u00a310m<\/a> in potential add-ons. He has followed Florian Wirtz, Jeremie Frimpong, Milos Kerkez, Armin Pesci and Freddie Woodman to the club this summer, while Giorgi Mamardashvili has also arrived<\/a> after spending last season on loan with Valencia.<\/p>\n Liverpool have managed to recruit heavily this summer<\/a> due to their quiet transfer window before last season. And with Darwin Nunez, Luis Diaz and Harvey Elliott all potentially leaving, they could still afford a blockbuster deal for Newcastle<\/a> deal Alexander Isak.<\/p>\n The Reds made an enquiry about Isak last week<\/a> before pushing ahead to sign Ekitike and the Swedish striker has now informed Newcastle that he wants to explore his options<\/a>. Asked how the club can ensure they lift the Premier League trophy again, he told the Anfield Wrap: \u201cThis season, we all start from scratch. I think everyone has tried to improve their teams \u2013 and we as well, I think we\u2019ve done great additions to the team so far.<\/p>\n \u201cLet\u2019s see what happens for the rest of the transfer window. But I think it\u2019s all down to hard work, showing our quality and consistency and we all know how difficult that is. So we will focus on ourselves and the hard work is obviously already going \u2013 we work so hard in training, double sessions in the heat and humidity here.\u201d<\/p>\n Asked about the new signings, the Liverpool captain added: \u201cComing to Liverpool, they will definitely have the quality to play for Liverpool. For me, it\u2019s very important as well how you settle in the group and how you fit into the squad that we have, and I think they did perfectly well.<\/p>\n \u201cAll of them. We don\u2019t speak about Armin \u2013 a young goalie who just came out of nowhere \u2013 has settled in pretty well. Obviously Freddie, Giorgi, Flo, Jeremie. Hugo came today of course. Everyone has to work hard and we\u2019re all in this together, that\u2019s the main thing. We have to fight for everything that\u2019s ahead of us.\u201d<\/p>\n Fellow senior pro Andy Robertson has been impressed by what he\u2019s seen too. He told the club website: \u201cThe lads already have settled in really well. Obviously Hugo has just come in so we\u2019ll have our first dinner with him tonight.<\/p>\n \u201cBut Jeremie, Milos, Gio, Flo have all really settled in quite quickly and it\u2019s as if they\u2019ve been here for months now, which is pleasing.
