South Park<\/a> returned to Comedy Central with its first episode of Season 27 on Wednesday night. Titled “Sermon on the ‘Mount,” the episode poked fun at Donald Trump, going so far as to feature a scene with the President of the United States hoping to get intimate in bed with Satan.<\/p>\n

There would certainly have been a lot in the episode that Trump wouldn’t be happy to see, but there was just one note of censorship the network had for the creators, Trey Parker and Matt Stone. The two were at San Diego Comic-Con on Thursday night, the day after the episode, when they were asked if Comedy Central had any objections. They confirmed that they were asked to blur Trump’s genitals, referring to a shocking scene when the president was shown fully exposed<\/a>, albeit animated.<\/p>\n

South Park’s Trey Parker and Matt Stone share their frustrations on social media. <\/p>\n

Parker explained, “It\u2019s always like, \u2018so we love the episode,\u2019 but that\u2019s what happened. They\u2019re like, \u2018OK, but we\u2019re gonna blur the penis.\u2019 And I\u2019m like, \u2018No, you\u2019re not gonna blur the penis.’\u201d<\/p>\n

“We put eyes on the penis,” Stone then bluntly added.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf we put eyes on the penis, we won\u2019t blur it,” Parker continued.”And then that was a whole conversation for about four f**king days. It\u2019s a character.\u201d<\/p>\n

In the episode, South Park jokes that the show must produce a pro-Trump public service announcement as part of a faux legal settlement, joking about how the president is known to sometimes file lawsuits against those who speak out against him. A version of Trump created with the assistance of Deepfake technology is shown, fully nude, with an anthropomorphic penis. A narration notes that Trump’s “penis is teeny-tiny, but his love for us is large.” <\/p>\n

Trey Parker and Matt Stone have finally reached a deal to keep the show streaming on Paramount+.<\/p>\n

The White House issued a response after the episode. White House Assistant Press Secretary Taylor Rogers said that South Park has been irrelevant for decades, insinuating that the animated show only mocked the president as a desperation move to get back into the spotlight.<\/p>\n

“This show hasn\u2019t been relevant for over 20 years and is hanging on by a thread with uninspired ideas in a desperate attempt for attention,” Rogers said. “President Trump has delivered on more promises in just six months than any other president in our country\u2019s history \u2014 and no fourth-rate show can derail President Trump\u2019s hot streak.\u201d<\/p>\n

South Park Was Signed for a $1.5 Billion Streaming Deal<\/p>\n

Paramount execs certainly see the show as incredibly valuable. It was just reported that the series had been signed for a new five-year deal for $1.5 billion. This includes a total of 50 episodes to be made for Comedy Central, while past episodes will also stream exclusively on Paramount+.<\/a><\/p>\n

The new episode of South Park is streaming on Paramount+.<\/p>\n
