{"id":290273,"date":"2025-07-25T09:54:16","date_gmt":"2025-07-25T09:54:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/290273\/"},"modified":"2025-07-25T09:54:16","modified_gmt":"2025-07-25T09:54:16","slug":"sheffield-wednesday-fans-are-excited-over-one-thing-this-season-one-positive-emerging","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/290273\/","title":{"rendered":"Sheffield Wednesday fans are \u2018excited\u2019 over one thing this season, \u2018one positive emerging\u2019&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Despite all of the background noise at Sheffield Wednesday, Owls fans have clawed onto one positive ahead of the 2025\/26 season.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/eflanalysis.com\/news\/sheffield-wednesday-fans-fume-over-a-truly-bizarre-decision-the-club-are-an-absolute-joke\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sheffield Wednesday have undergone turmoil<\/a> this summer, and with the 2025\/26 Championship season looming, there appears to be no end in sight to the current woes with Dejphon Chansiri in charge.<\/p>\n<p>The Owls\u2019 first-team squad has been ripped to shreds, with several Championship clubs swooping in to sign Sheffield Wednesday stars on the cheap.<\/p>\n<p>There could be more departures to come as well \u2013 Preston North End are keen on Max Lowe, whilst Yan Valery is also attracting interest. Even <a href=\"https:\/\/eflanalysis.com\/news\/sheffield-wednesday-fans-will-be-worried-at-latest-barry-bannan-update-ahead-of-mansfield-town\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Barry Bannan\u2019s future at Sheffield Wednesday is uncertain<\/a>, with the midfielder still optimistically awaiting a contract to continue his stay at Hillsborough.<\/p>\n<p>Several issues have plagued the Owls this summer, and whilst they look likely to struggle following the departure of several key players from the club, fans have found one minor positive to look forward to.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\"  src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/GettyImages-2211496947-3-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"A general view of Hillsborough Stadium\" \/>Photo by Scott Llewellyn | MI News\/NurPhoto via Getty ImagesSheffield Wednesday fans are keen to see young stars given minutes<\/p>\n<p>After <a href=\"https:\/\/eflanalysis.com\/tag\/sheffield-wednesday\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sheffield Wednesday<\/a> owner Dejphon Chansiri turned towards first-team squad sales in order to secure short-term funding for the football club, it now looks likely that Danny Rohl will be in charge of a new-look Owls side this season.<\/p>\n<p>In light of all of the issues at the club, a pool of optimistic Sheffield Wednesday fans have managed to see the positives in playing the kids.<\/p>\n<p>Taking to X, one Sheffield Wednesday supporter wrote: \u201cI\u2019m quite excited to see some of our youngsters playing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Owls fan received responses from some fans that suggested he was showing blindsided optimism amid all of the chaos, but one indicated that \u2018Fusire, Shipston and Cadamarteri (to name a few) are all very talented players and possibly the club\u2019s future.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>The debate continued, as another supporter said: \u201cI think that they are all talented lads, but lack experience of first team football and football at this level. I believe that they still deserve to play in front of players who already proved not good enough, who won\u2019t improve, and ultimately won\u2019t be here next season.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Picking out the youngsters who Sheffield Wednesday fans are keen to see, Bailey Cadamarteri was mentioned as he returns to the club, having played for Lincoln City last season, whilst another supporter suggested that \u2018Thornton is quality\u2019 and deserves to play a role in the first-team this season.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\"  src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/1753437256_76_GettyImages-2208663133-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"Danny Rohl, Manager of Sheffield Wednesday, looks on\" \/>Photo by George Wood\/Getty ImagesDanny Rohl will have a crucial part to play in the youngsters\u2019 development<\/p>\n<p>If Danny Rohl does continue his spell as Sheffield Wednesday manager, the German may also reflect optimistically on the idea of handing game time to the youngsters.<\/p>\n<p>He utilised Sean Fusire in the EFL Cup last season, where he shone amongst a group of senior players, and his role will no doubt become more important this season under the German.<\/p>\n<p>Rohl has previously proven to be a success when it comes to giving youngsters a chance to shine and taking such an opportunity.
