Leeds United could potentially be affected by Sheffield United midfielder Gus Hamer this summer transfer window.<\/strong><\/p>\n The Whites have returned to the Premier League after a two-year absence and have made some impressive additions to their team so far.<\/p>\n Hamer has emerged as a target at Elland Road<\/a> after the 28-year-old missed out on Premier League promotion with the Blades last season.<\/p>\n Sean Longstaff and Anton Stach have already signed<\/a> for the West Yorkshire outfit, but it looks like they may miss out on the Dutch midfielder.<\/p>\n Hamer isn\u2019t immediately interested in joining newly promoted Leeds or Burnley in the ongoing transfer window, according to SoccerNews<\/a>.<\/p>\n The news outlet reports (24 July) that the Whites have been eyeing the midfielder\u2019s signature at Elland Road<\/a> for some time now, but negotiations haven\u2019t been going smoothly.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n Hamer\u2019s Championship record this season.<\/p>\n It\u2019s been claimed that the 28-year-old is eager to join a Premier League<\/a> outfit this summer, but he isn\u2019t forcing a departure from Sheffield United.<\/p>\n PSV Eindhoven are the other team vying for the Dutchman\u2019s signing, but his continuity at Bramall Lane isn\u2019t out of the question.<\/p>\n Longstaff made his Leeds debut against Manchester United<\/a> in Stockholm recently, and it feels like the Whites have their new Kalvin Phillips.<\/p>\n The former Newcastle United midfielder undoubtedly brings much-needed Premier League experience to the West Yorkshire outfit\u2019s ranks, which will certainly come in handy next season.<\/p>\n Daniel Farke also has Stach at his disposal<\/a> now, and the ex-Hoffenheim star seems perfect for the English top flight.<\/p>\n Leeds arguably need quality depth in their ranks to face the rigours of the upcoming campaign, and they\u2019ve made some astute additions to their defence and engine room this summer.<\/p>\n The Whites should now focus on bolstering their attack before the end of August to give Joel Piroe more support up front.<\/p>\n Patrick Bamford is certainly surplus to requirements, while Mateo Joseph has told Farke he wants to leave<\/a>, making reinforcements in the forward line an evident priority over Hamer.<\/p>\n![\"Leeds](\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Gustavo-Hamer-1024x576.png\")
