And it is the dictionary definition of a great scoop in the journalism world. Keep those sources close to your chest, fella.<\/p>\n<p>The preposterous idea this is in any way Manchester United\u2019s call, propagated by a headline which starts with \u2018Man Utd make Alexander Isak decision\u2019 is entirely undermined by the end of the third paragraph:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u2018\u2026but Newcastle\u2019s \u00a3150million valuation has priced them out a move for him.\u2019<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>You don\u2019t sodding say? And even if money was no object at Redundancies and Cost-Cutting FC, persuading possibly the best striker in world football to turn down multiple suitors for the 15th-best team in England seems like a challenge they could do without.<\/p>\n<p>But sure, Manchester United have made a \u2018decision\u2019 on Isak. Why stop there? It turns out they have made calls on Kylian Mbappe, Erling Haaland and Lamine Yamal too. Handing in a transfer request is slightly more official and formal than just letting it be known you want to explore your options. There\u2019s paperwork and everything.<\/p>\n<p>And just like <a href=\"https:\/\/www.football365.com\/news\/mediawatch-ekitike-transfer-request-force-liverpool-move-isak\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Hugo Ekitike did not submit a transfer request ahead of his Liverpool move<\/strong><\/a>, Isak is yet to play a card which is not yet really worth using for now.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Shaw thing<br \/><\/strong>There does seem to be a problem in identifying who calls the shots at Manchester United.<\/p>\n<p>To keep it simple: it is not their decision not to sign Isak; and it is not Luke Shaw\u2019s decision to \u2018quit\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>Yet that is how <strong>The Sun<\/strong> phrases \u2018serious interest from Saudi clubs\u2019 in a player who \u2018is ready to listen to offers\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>Shaw \u2018fears his Red Devils career might be nearing an end\u2019 and \u2018knows he is liable to be making up the numbers once the Prem kicks off next month,\u2019 yet Ruben Amorim \u2018is in no hurry to dump him\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>Sounds like he\u2019s pretty much off.<\/p>\n<p>Reporting that \u2018the injury-hit star could be gone by January\u2019 when there is more than a month remaining of the summer transfer window\u00a0doesn\u2019t half dilute the suggestion that this is a situation of immediate concern.<\/p>\n<p>And with two years left on his contract, it feels like Manchester United might have the biggest say as to whether Shaw actually does \u2018quit\u2019 or not.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Luke but don\u2019t touch<br \/><\/strong>\u2018Man Utd\u2019s current longest-serving player in quit bombshell\u2019 \u2013 <strong>Metro website<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Nope.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Traff out loud<br \/><\/strong>Of course the <strong>MailOnline<\/strong> pretend Shaw being open to leaving is the biggest story in all of world football, sticking it top of their homepage with \u2018QUIT\u2019 in the headline.<\/p>\n<p>Who really cares about Alexander Isak making Luke Edwards\u2019 entire head fall off while he desperately tries to make sense of Newcastle\u2019s hilarious summer (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.football365.com\/news\/mediawatch-newcastle-blame-manchester-united-disastrous-triple-transfer\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>still waiting on that \u00a3125m triple swoop<\/strong><\/a>\u2026), when a 30-year-old who played 12 times for Manchester United last season is considering his own options?<\/p>\n<p>Not to exacerbate the Edwards pile-on, but his tweeting the <strong>Daily Telegraph<\/strong>\u00a0exclusive that Newcastle \u2018are also back in for James Trafford with a possible deal involving Martin Dubravka now being discussed,\u2019 then deleting the tweet when Fabrizio Romano revealed that Trafford was off to Manchester City seven minutes later \u2013 and \u2018Newcastle are also informed about Trafford\u2019s decision\u2019 \u2013 is phenomenal work.<\/p>\n<p>At this stage Edwards just needs a transfer exclusive to go in off his arse.
