Prince Harry\u2019s<\/a> recent attempt to reconcile with his father<\/a> King Charles may not be coincidental, a royal expert has said. Earlier this month, two of Harry\u2019s senior aides, Meredith Maines and Liam Maguire, met up with the monarch\u2019s director of communications Tobyn Andreae for an informal meeting.<\/a><\/p>\n

The meeting, which took place in London, was believed to have taken place with Harry and the King\u2019s permission, suggesting that a future reconciliation could be on the cards just months after the Duke, 40, told the BBC<\/a> that his father would not speak to him.<\/a> However, while this seems like a step in the right direction when it comes to the rumoured family feud, a royal expert now believes that the timing is interesting.<\/p>\n

This is because just this week, it was revealed that Netflix<\/a> would not be renewing their deal<\/a> with Harry and Meghan Markle<\/a> when it ends in September.<\/p>\n

This is likely to be a concern for the couple, who quit royal life and moved to the US in 2020, as the deal was worth around \u00a378 million.<\/p>\n

Now, royal expert Lydia Alty<\/a> thinks that Harry\u2019s attempt to reconcile with the King when this deal has started to \u201cunravel\u201d is maybe not a coincidence.<\/p>\n

She said: \u201cPublic interest in the ‘Harry and Meghan show’ is clearly waning, and people are increasingly looking for substance over self-promotion.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo top it off, Harry now appears to be trying to reconcile with his family \u2014 perhaps not coincidentally, just as these high-profile media deals are starting to unravel.\u201d<\/p>\n

Prince Harry<\/a> and Meghan Markle<\/a> have not publicly commented on the upcoming end of their Netflix<\/a> deal in September.<\/p>\n

The duke has also not commented on any upcoming reconciliation with his father, with the King also remaining silent on the topic.<\/p>\n

While Harry is potentially on the way to making amends with the monarch, it seems that the prince is still a long way from fixing the rift with his brother Prince William<\/a>, 43.<\/p>\n
