5<\/p>\n Princess Diana leaving the Mishcon de Reya firmCredit: PA 5<\/p>\n Prince William has decided to stop using his father’s lawyersCredit: PA 5<\/p>\n Diana used Lord Mischon’s lawyers throughout her bitter divorce with King CharlesCredit: Getty – Contributor<\/p>\n His late mum Princess Diana<\/a> was extremely close with her lawyer Lord Mischon, who owns the Mishcon de Reya firm.<\/p>\n Deputy chairman Anthony Julius represented Diana throughout her very public divorce from King Charles<\/a> in 1996.<\/p>\n The Princess even confided in Lord Mischon strong fears she would be murdered in a fake car accident. <\/p>\n He recorded her concerns and handed them in to the Metropolitan Police<\/a> – who locked it away. <\/p>\n In the letter, Diana said she was terrified “efforts would be made if not to get rid of her by some accident in her car, such as a pre-prepared brake failure, at least to see that she was so injured or damaged as to be declared unbalanced [in her mind]”.<\/p>\n Just two years later, tragedy struck when the Princess was killed in Paris.<\/a><\/p>\n The mum-of-two died with Dodi Fayed<\/a>, and driver Henri Paul i<\/a>n 1997.<\/p>\n However, the note expressing her worries was not given to the French authorities until six years later.<\/p>\n Now, Prince William has decided to use Diana’s lawyers – instead of King Charles’, as reported by the Mail.<\/a><\/p>\n In a break with tradition Wills has hired Mishcon de Reya and left a long standing relationship with his father’s choice of firm, Harbottle & Lewis.<\/p>\n Mohamed Al-Fayed is responsible for Princess Diana\u2019s death – he knew 1997 Paris crash was his fault, blasts ex-bodyguard<\/p>\n A source said: “William wanted to strike out on his own.<\/p>\n “He did not want to continue using his father\u2019s lawyers. It\u2019s as simple as that.
