Jane McDonald<\/a> has put her luxurious bungalow in Yorkshire<\/a> on the market for a staggering \u00a31 million, four years after her partner Eddie Rothe’s death. Having resided in the snug residence for 18 years, the 62-year-old appears poised to seek a new horizon. Staying in the abode located in Wakefield with her dearest friend Sue Ravey since 2022, McDonald has dedicated recent years to transforming her property, now boasting an open-plan kitchen, breathtaking views, and enviable walk-in wardrobes. In a conversation with The Times last year, she alluded to the possibility of relocating.<\/p>\n

During that discussion, she conveyed: “I converted the bungalow into a house during lockdown,” and elaborated, “I had everything done and it’s gorgeous, but now it’s far too big. All I do is clean. I’ll probably downsize. The sea is calling.” Presenting five bedrooms, four lavish bathrooms, a sunroom and even a gym, this sizeable bungalow has seen its value soar from \u00a3205,000 back in 1998 and then to \u00a3485,000 in 2007, to a staggering \u00a31 million at present.<\/p>\n

Jane had previously shared her deep connection to her roots on the programme My Love Letter To Yorkshire, stating: “It’s where I’m from. I love it, I miss it when I’m not there and I’m fiercely proud of it,” reports the Mirror<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Unwavering in her affection for her home region, she admitted: “No matter where I was, I always tried to get in a mention of Wakefield or Wakey as I call it. Because I wanted everyone to know about my beautiful home city and the county of Yorkshire beyond.”<\/p>\n

In 2021, she suffered the unbearable loss of her beloved partner, Eddie Rothe who lost his fight against lung cancer at 67.<\/p>\n

Sharing her memories about him, she said he was one of the most incredible humans she ever met.<\/p>\n

The two had a long history, reconnecting later in life and starting their romance in the early 2000s. They were engaged in 2008.<\/p>\n

Jane expressed her heartfelt gratitude for experiencing “real love” with the musician, saying: “You have to find your way of dealing with it, it’s not easy. It never leaves you either. Everybody thinks, ‘Oh, she’s back on track.'”.<\/p>\n

No, it never leaves you. I have to make a decision every morning about what my day is going to be like, because you can go that way, or you can go that way.”<\/p>\n
