{"id":291756,"date":"2025-07-25T22:59:12","date_gmt":"2025-07-25T22:59:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/291756\/"},"modified":"2025-07-25T22:59:12","modified_gmt":"2025-07-25T22:59:12","slug":"county-championship-surrey-maintain-slender-lead-after-draw-with-yorkshire","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/291756\/","title":{"rendered":"County Championship: Surrey maintain slender lead after draw with Yorkshire"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\"><b class=\"ssrcss-1xjjfut-BoldText e5tfeyi3\">Surrey maintained their one-point lead over Nottinghamshire at the top of the Division One table but Yorkshire are back in the bottom two after both counties played out a high-scoring County Championship draw at Scarborough.<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Unbeaten champions Surrey&#8217;s seventh draw in 10 games yielded 14 bonus points and gives them a slender advantage with four rounds remaining having replied to a first-innings 517-6 declared with 537 all out shortly after lunch.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Yorkshire, meanwhile, have slipped back into the second relegation place with their fourth draw that yielded 13 points. <\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Essex jumped above them with victory at Sussex.
