On Saturday, July 26, Sahir\u2019s staging of the annual event will come to life, giving the event a different format and new look in comparison to recent years.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">The<a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.liverpoolecho.co.uk\/whats-on\/whats-on-news\/liverpool-pride-cancelled-2025-devastating-31795563\" target=\"\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\"> event and march<\/a> were initially cancelled for the year, with the organisers citing &#8220;significant financial and organisational challenges&#8221; and insisting they &#8220;listened to the community&#8221; by cutting ties with sponsor Barclays. This decision created further issues with staging the annual event.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">LCR Pride Foundation, the organisation behind<a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.liverpoolecho.co.uk\/all-about\/lgbtqia\" target=\"\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\"> Pride in Liverpool<\/a> and the city\u2019s annual March with Pride, then &#8220;regretfully&#8221; announced in a lengthy statement<a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.liverpoolecho.co.uk\/\" target=\"\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\"> shared with ECHO<\/a> that the event would not go ahead<a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.liverpoolecho.co.uk\/\" target=\"\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">.<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">However, Sahir, the city\u2019s oldest<a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.liverpoolecho.co.uk\/all-about\/lgbtqia\" target=\"\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\"> LGBTQ+ charity<\/a>, has now managed \u201cto turn things around\u201d after stepping in to facilitate the event at seven weeks&#8217; notice. The <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"http:\/\/WWW.LIVERPOOLECHO.CO.UK\" target=\"_self\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">ECHO<\/a> will bring you live updates throughout the day on the celebrations.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/0_JS273429955.jpg\" alt=\"Pride in Liverpool at the Pier Head.\" loading=\"lazy\"  \/>Pride in Liverpool at the Pier Head.(Image: Andrew Teebay)<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Those attending will be glad to hear there will be periods of sunny intervals, but unfortunately, this will be broken up by a partly cloudy evening and nighttime.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">When the main events are taking place, between 11am and 5pm on the waterfront, it is expected to reach 19\u00b0C. However, this is changeable, with the Met Office adding: \u201cSunshine and scattered showers through the weekend, perhaps heavy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \"><strong class=\"Strong_strong__e2x35\">Sahir has stepped in to help facilitate and coordinate the community-led Pride. However, with only a few weeks&#8217; notice, the charity has created a <\/strong><a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.gofundme.com\/f\/save-liverpool-pride-2025-keep-it-loud-local-and-proud\" target=\"\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong class=\"Strong_strong__e2x35\">GoFundMe to help with the costs.<\/strong><\/a><strong class=\"Strong_strong__e2x35\">The target is \u00a360,000 to deliver the celebrations, with any surplus of the funds raised being used to protect the life-changing work Sahir does all year round. For the annual March with Pride parade and Pride in Liverpool events to take place safely, temporary closures will mean no vehicle movement will be possible\u2014except for emergency services.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">The<a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.liverpoolecho.co.uk\/all-about\/liverpool-council\" target=\"\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\"> Liverpool City Council<\/a> has closed some roads for certain periods of time to help ensure the march runs smoothly. A spokesperson said: \u201cThere are no significant road closures for this event that should affect the wider public as the march takes place predominantly on the pavement.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">\u201cWe have temporary closures on the waterfront at Brunswick St (waterside) and St Nicholas Place to support the muster, rally, and march start area.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">\u201cTwo lanes of the north-bound carriage on the Strand (Gower St to Mann Island) will be closed for a period of time as an additional safety measure as the march passes this section of the route.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">&#8220;There will be a temporary closure (no left turn) at the entrance to Royal<a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.liverpoolecho.co.uk\/all-about\/albert-dock\" target=\"\" aria-label=\"\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\"> Albert Dock<\/a>.
