The Blues have been offered the opportunity to bring in central midfielder Elan Ricardo from Turkish giants Besiktas.<\/p>\n

As per information from our Chief Football Correspondent, Graeme Bailey, EFL Analysis<\/strong> can exclusively reveal that Birmingham City<\/a> have been offered the chance to sign the Colombian from Besiktas.<\/p>\n

Elan Ricardo has struggled to make a strong impression to this point in his career in Turkey following his move from CD La Equidad in Colombia to Besiktas in February this year.<\/p>\n

Now the 21-year-old has been offered to Birmingham City, with the Blues weighing up whether to make a move or not for the midfielder.<\/p>\n

What Elan Ricardo could bring to Birmingham City<\/p>\n

Ricardo is a 21-year-old midfielder from Colombia who earned a move to Besiktas in February 2025 after his performances in the Colombian league captured the attention of a number of high-profile clubs, with the player opting to move to the Turkish giants.<\/p>\n

Alexis Garcia, the head coach of CD La Equidad, spoke highly of Ricardo\u2019s abilities with T\u00fcrkiye Today<\/a>.<\/p>\n

He said: \u201cHe is strong, and his long-range and mid-range shots are particularly noteworthy. He stands out in his position as a central midfielder but can also play effectively in more advanced roles on the left or right.\u201d<\/p>\n

Garcia spoke about the physicality of Ricardo, but also his ability to control the game through his technical ability, likening him to Luka Modric.<\/p>\n

He added: \u201cRicardo is more powerful and has a stronger shot, but his ability to distribute passes with confidence is similar to Modric\u2019s.
