<\/a>Lionsgate<\/p>\nA second trailer has gone online for the dystopian horror film \u201cThe Long Walk\u201d directed by \u201cThe Hunger Games\u201d alum Francis Lawrence. The trailer follows Lionsgate screening 22 minutes of the film at San Diego Comic-Con.<\/p>\n
The film\u2019s story is based on the 1979 novel of the same name by Stephen King, Penned under King\u2019s pseudonym Richard Bachman and perceived as a political allegory for the Vietnam War.<\/p>\n
King\u2019s story is set in a future dystopian America in which one hundred teenage boys participate in an annual non-stop walking contest.<\/p>\n
The rules are simple: maintain a speed above 3 miles per hour. Receive three warnings in an hour and you\u2019re shot dead. The last one walking gets whatever he wants for the rest of his life.<\/p>\n
The story follows a sixteen-year-old walker named Raymond Garraty and the teens, some good, some bad, some mysterious, in his orbit.<\/p>\n
Cooper Hoffman, David Jonsson, Mark Hamill and Judy Greer star in the film, which will be released in cinemas on September 12th.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
