Leeds United are finally closing in on their new goalkeeper at Elland Road.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Illan Meslier was the last major transfer in that area, with Karl Darlow taking his spot towards the end of the Championship-winning season<\/a> after several errors.<\/p>\n

Lucas Perri has been a target for what feels like weeks now in West Yorkshire<\/a>, and the Brazilian is ready to leave Lyon behind for the Premier League.<\/p>\n

Daniel Farke is currently in Germany with his squad, and Perri has touched down<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Perri<\/a> has now officially passed his medical with the Whites.<\/p>\n

According to L\u2019Equipe<\/a>, the transfer is now finalised and Lyon will receive the full total of \u00a313.9million for their South American stopper.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

It is said that the goalkeeper will sign a four-year contract with Leeds<\/a>, and that an announcement from the two clubs is a matter of hours away.<\/p>\n

With Perri flying straight to Paderborn with his representatives to seal the transfer, he should get straight into action alongside the likes of Anton Stach.<\/a><\/p>\n

Leeds have once again used Germany as their training base for pre-season, and it worked wonders last season; hopefully, it can do the same for the Premier League.<\/p>\n

Perri is already outperforming some of the bigger names that he will come up against, too.<\/p>\n

With the medical finalised and another behind-closed-doors friendly taking place on Saturday (26 July), Leeds will likely announce it later on in the evening.<\/p>\n

Perri will likely be watching his new teammates in their final test of Germany<\/a>, before they return to England for games against Villarreal and AC Milan, which he will no doubt start.<\/p>\n

Then it\u2019s onto the Premier League and Everton.<\/p>\n
