Fans are excited about the 2027 Invictus Games, hoping it would serve as the perfect opportunity for father and son to put water under the bridge. However, they may not have to wait until 2027, as a royal expert recently suggested the two could reunite in September, during the WellChild Awards.

<img decoding="async" id="figure-image" contenteditable="false" src="https://d3iil1tw1mksp7.cloudfront.net/c02d2d9a-1e9f-490b-9c49-f869ff406343.jpg" alt="(Prince Harry and King Charles at Fishmongers Hall. (Image Source: Getty Images| Matt Dunham – WPA Pool)

Charles and Harry have had a strained relationship ever since the latter decided to step down as a working royal along with his wife, Meghan Markle, in 2020. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s move to California was followed by their many bombshell claims about their time in the UK, which worsened their bond with the Crown.

Despite Harry’s ongoing issues with his family, he publicly expressed his desire to reconcile, revealing that his father no longer answers his calls. Commenting on their relationship, experts have dubbed the sporting event, scheduled for 2027 in Birmingham, as the perfect platform for the reunion. However, royal expert Kinsey Schofield believes that Charles and Harry would be under the same roof in about two months. Schofield told Sky News Australia, “It could happen in September, during the WellChild Awards. A quick meet and greet with Charles and Harry, depending on the King’s schedule.”

For the unversed, Harry is a patron of the WellChild charity, which supports sick children and their families. The Duke has already been announced as a nominee for the upcoming awards and is expected to attend, but Charles’s attendance will depend on his schedule as in September, the royal family would be busy preparing for US President Donald Trump and Melania Trump’s second UK visit. However, this may not be the only reason the sovereign might skip the event. Schofield warned that the monarch would be taking a risk by privately meeting with Harry, given the trust issues.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle during Queen Elizabeth’s funeral. Earlier this month, Daily Mail reported that Harry’s chief of staff, Meredith Maines, and Charles’s communications secretary, Tobyn Andreae, privately met on July 9. The meeting allegedly opened the channel of communication between the two parties. A source spilled, “There’s a long road ahead, but a channel of communication is now open for the first time in years. There was no formal agenda, just casual drinks. There were things both sides wanted to talk about.”

As the news of the meeting broke, Schofield claimed that Harry and Markle are behind the leak. “I do believe the Sussexes leaked this story, which goes to prove they can’t be trusted.” She argued, “Why would the King risk anything by meeting with Harry or Meghan, and have them, or their friends, discuss what happened at that meeting?” The Telegraph, on the contrary, reported that the Sussexes were allegedly ‘frustrated’ about the leak.

Royal watchers have been eagerly awaiting a reunion between King Charles and Prince Harry after the Duke made…

[7708
7709,7721,7719,7718,7716,7720,1281,447,7710,519,7711
0":"post-293714","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-royals","8":"tag-british-royal-family","9":"tag-duchess-of-sussex","10":"tag-duke-of-sussex","11":"tag-harry","12":"tag-heirs-spares","13":"tag-meghan","14":"tag-meghan-markle","15":"tag-prince-harry","16":"tag-royal-families","17":"tag-royal-family","18":"tag-uk-royal-family
["GET
