Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have reportedly suffered a setback after a career blow – and the Duke of Sussex is finding it “harder” to deal with than the Duchess, according to reports.<\/p>\n

Prince Harry<\/a> could be set to have a “harder” time than Meghan efter their lucrative contract with Netflix runs out. Royal Family<\/a> experts and commentator Jennie Bond says sealing the deal to begin with was “quite an achievement” for the Sussexes.<\/p>\n

She added the project will have been “undoubtedly extremely lucrative” for the couple. \u201cFor most people, that sort of money would set them up for life,\u201d the expert continued.<\/p>\n

“But Montecito is luxurious and expensive. So they will have to find other streams of income,” she siad. And she expected the transition to be “harder for Harry” than Meghan.<\/p>\n

She felt the Duchess “has every chance of making a lot of money as an influencer” compared to Harry, with whom she shares two children in the form of daughter Lilibet and son Archie.<\/p>\n

Ms Bond previously said: “Coming to recognise that the LA celebrity world is one in which he is not especially comfortable.” And Harry is more than happy for his wife to be their public-facing side in that realm and “take the limelight”, Ms Bond added.<\/p>\n

The pair quit the Royal Family some five years ago, upping sticks and moving to California – via Canada – as part of the Megxit process which had been spurred on by a dramatic fallout between Harry and brother Prince William<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Sussexes announced in August 2023 that they would be producing the film for the streaming giant – but two years later and Archewell productions is reportedly yet to hire a director or pick a cast.<\/p>\n

A source in Hollywood said this week: “By this point, you would have thought they would have got a director on board and a cast. So what is the delay?”<\/p>\n

“And when you make something for Netflix, it takes a long time for it to actually hit the streamer – there is so much to do in post production, to make sure it’s ready for every country. If the deal is up this year, then when is this film going to be made?”<\/p>\n

But the Sussexes could be in line to sign a ‘first-look’ deal with the streamer when their exclusive deal ends later this year, PageSix reported.<\/p>\n
