Rory McIlroy has revealed the location of his Masters green jacket in a cheeky response to a fan.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The five-time major winner completed the career Grand Slam at Augusta National in April.<\/p>\n

McIlroy secured an emotional play-off victory<\/a> over Justin Rose to become only the sixth player to achieve the feat.<\/p>\n

Although he has not won an event since, the 36-year-old has been in impressive recent form.<\/p>\n

After three top 10 finishes at his last three events, McIlroy is currently enjoying a break from the course following The Open.<\/p>\n

However, he still caught the attention of fans whilst visiting a beach club in Saint Tropez.<\/p>\n

In a video shared to social media, a fan can be seen holding up their phone towards McIlroy.<\/p>\n

On the device reads the message ‘Where’s the green jacket?’<\/p>\n

After spotting the phone, McIlroy points to the fan and quips: “It’s on the yacht.”<\/p>\n

His response was immediately met with cheers and laughter from the fan, who exclaims: “Yes, let’s go!”<\/p>\n

McIlroy was presented with his green jacket by 2024 Masters champion Scottie Scheffler following his triumph.<\/p>\n

The world number two is free to wear it how he pleases for 12 months.<\/p>\n

He then must return it to August National, though, where it has to remain on the club grounds.<\/p>\n

As well as the jacket, McIlroy also receives a gold medal and a replica of the Masters<\/a> trophy.<\/p>\n

Those come alongside an eye-watering \u00a33.2million in prize money for his victory.<\/p>\n

McIlroy’s trip to Saint Tropez follows a tied-seventh finish at The Open last weekend.<\/p>\n

Prior to that, he ended in a tie for second at the Scottish Open a week prior.<\/p>\n

Although he missed out on the claret jug, McIlroy received a hero’s welcome as he made his way to the 18th green on Sunday at Royal Portrush.<\/p>\n

Reflecting on the emotional moment, he said: “I tried as best as I could to keep my emotions in check, especially walking up the last there and that reception.<\/p>\n

“It’s been an awesome week. I’ve gotten everything I wanted out of this week apart from a Claret Jug, and that’s just because one person was just a little bit better than the rest of us.<\/p>\n

“I feel so thankful and just so lucky that I get to do this, I get to do this in front of this crowd.<\/p>\n

“Hopefully I’ll have one or two Opens left here, if the R&A decide to keep coming back, probably one while I’m still competitive and another one while I’m more grey than I already am.”<\/p>\n

When is Rory McIlroy next playing?<\/p>\n

McIlroy is not in action at this weekend’s 3M Open in Minnesota on the PGA Tour.<\/p>\n

It has not yet been confirmed whether he will be part of the field for next week’s Wyndham Championship.<\/p>\n

However, McIlroy will be involved in the FedEx Cup play-offs in August.<\/p>\n

The season-ending run of events spans the FedEx St. Jude Championship, BMW Championship and Tour Championship.<\/p>\n

Heading into the play-offs, McIlroy is currently second in the FedEx Cup rankings behind world number one Scottie Scheffler.<\/p>\n
