We got a great win, but it looks like Tui’s pulled his quad. I had to bring Swifty off, he looks like he could’ve potentially pulled his groin.

“Once again, even though it’s a great win, players might not be available next game. A week off hopefully does us a world of good. Fingers crossed they can come back and be ready to play.”

Despite the potential injuries, he was more than content with how his Huddersfield side performed for the majority of the match, especially battling the physicality of Hull.

He added: “I’ve said it all along, when we get the right bodies on the field, we can be consistent and play some good rugby. It’s been a very difficult year for us.

“What I was more chuffed about than anything else today was the way the game started. They had a five- or six-minute period where they were on our goal line.

“We withstood it, we turned up for each other over and over again, and actually got back in the grind and shifted momentum. I thought it was a real bonus for us.

“We know we do start quite well, we’ve just got to do a better job in the second half.

“That opening stanza of the second half was nail-biting to say the least, because I thought we gave them a little bit of a leg up. When the crowd here gets behind their side, it can be difficult to wrestle back momentum.”

Huddersfield Giants boss on playing for pride and working on consistency

The Giants have certainly improved in the last month or so, mostly due to getting senior players back from injury.

Robinson admitted that right now, it’s playing for each other and pride in the badge that’s going to take them to the end of the season.

He finished: “It’s what we build on for the rest of the year. I’ve said all along that anyone who pulls on a Huddersfield Giants shirt or who plays under me, there is always something to play for, whether it’s pride, your family, the badge, the club, the fans.

“We don’t want to look too far into the future, but it’s definitely something we can work on. That’s something you can hang your hat on, that defensive resolve, turning up for each other, and I thought we did that today.

“We’ve done it numerous times this year; we just haven’t done it consistently well enough, so for me, it’s something we keep going back to. It’s the consistency that we need to improve on.”

Excellent from minute one, Giants. 💪#Since1895 | @WOMAGGroup 🤝 pic.twitter.com/GISFkqhs0s

— Huddersfield Giants 🐮🔔 (@Giantsrl) July 26, 2025

Luke Robinson might be thrilled with his Huddersfield Giants side’s victory, but it could come at a cost,…

[4102
4151,79,16,15
0":"post-294115","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-rugby","8":"tag-rugby","9":"tag-sports","10":"tag-uk","11":"tag-united-kingdom
["GET
