But in a video posted to her YouTube channel after <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/wimbledon\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Wimbledon<\/a>, Sabalenka expressed a wish that the life of a sportsperson was not so results-driven.\u2019<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think it\u2019s important to go and have fun and enjoy life. But it\u2019s so f\u2014\u2014 annoying about being an athlete, honestly. All your life depends on your result,\u201d the Belarusian said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou win and you are the happiest person that you can be. You just enjoy, life feels so good. But when you lose it\u2019s just tough to enjoy.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am going to be there on the beach thinking it\u2019s so beautiful, but I lost. I am such a loser. I hate myself. It\u2019s like you are constantly living your life in these ups and downs.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"712\" loading=\"lazy\"  src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/GettyImages-2165751271-1024x712.jpg\" alt=\"Aryna Sabalenka serves at the National Bank Open Presented by Rogers 2024\" class=\"wp-image-115215\" \/>Photo by Vaughn Ridley\/Getty ImagesAryna Sabalenka will not be competing at the upcoming Canadian Open<\/p>\n<p>Sabalenka last played at Wimbledon, where she lost to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/amanda-anisimova\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Amanda Anisimova<\/a> in the semi-finals.<\/p>\n<p>Despite being the top seed and many of her closest rivals losing early, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/news\/stunned-amanda-anisimova-makes-immediate-comment-about-aryna-sabalenka-straight-after-knocking-her-out-of-wimbledon\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sabalenka succumbed to a three-set defeat<\/a> against the American.<\/p>\n<p>She did not play at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/news\/wta-mubadala-citi-dc-open-2025-preview-tournament-schedule-top-players-and-prize-money\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Citi Open in Washington D.C.<\/a> and she also pulled out of the upcoming <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/canadian-open\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Canadian Open<\/a> in Montreal.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m looking forward to kicking off the North American hard-court swing, but to give myself the best chance for success this season, I\u2019ve decided it\u2019s in my best interest to skip Montreal,\u201d she wrote.<\/p>\n<p>It is likely that Sabalenka\u2019s next tournament will be the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/cincinnati-open\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Cincinnati Masters<\/a>, where she is the defending champion.<\/p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Aryna Sabalenka has reached the pinnacle of professional tennis.
