However, royal fans in the thread quickly debunked the claim, pointing out that Kate actually wore a white suit in March 2022, a month before Meghan\u2019s appearance in April.<\/p>\n

Royal Fans Defend Kate Middleton From Copying Meghan Markle’s Style<\/p>\n

Another comparison focused on a long navy blue coat. Meghan wore hers in 2018 at the launch of her recipe book, while Kate was seen in a similar style in 2022. But the thread took things a step further, showing archival photos of Princess Diana<\/a> wearing a nearly identical coat in 1987\u2014ultimately concluding that the look predates both women, effectively dismissing the copying accusations.<\/p>\n

The original author of the thread said, “Some \u201ccopies\u201d are a reach. White shirt, black blazer? Black turtlenecks? Everyone has one of those in their closets,” adding, “The blue coat and black turtleneck combo was in fact worn by Diana a few times before.\u00a0Both Catherine and Meghan have channeled Diana\u2019s outfits a few times, one of which was a grey coat with velvet accents on the collar.”<\/p>\n
