You\u2019re back at the Fringe after a successful appearance last year \u2013 how does it feel?<\/strong><\/p>\n It\u2019s very exciting! It\u2019s my favorite place to be. I was worried about writing a brand new hour of comedy in only a year \u2013 but the previews have gone really well so now I can\u2019t wait to get started!<\/p>\n What can you tell us about <\/strong>This is Water<\/strong>? What should audiences expect?<\/strong><\/p>\n I speak very quickly so I really think you\u2019ll get your money\u2019s worth joke-wise. <\/p>\n Last year I did a big emotional story, so I wanted to do an hour of just wall-to-wall observational comedy. this year. <\/p>\n The show is that, but it\u2019s got a little extra to it if you pay attention.<\/p>\n How did you make a start as a performer? Do Fringe festivals inspire you?<\/strong><\/p>\n I started doing comedy at university and the Fringe absolutely inspired me. I was very lucky to go as part of Bristol Uni\u2019s sketch troupe (the Bristol Revunions) and it was such a formative experience. <\/p>\n I saw so many brilliant things and learnt so much about comedy and performing. I came away from that plotting how to structure my life around being in Edinburgh every August. So far so good!<\/p>\n What are you looking forward to the most in Edinburgh?<\/strong><\/p>\n I\u2019m looking forward to doing my show of course. But also, I can\u2019t wait to spend time with other comics. <\/p>\n Lots of us started out together and now we\u2019re in the position where we\u2019re all doing our own shows and there\u2019s a camaraderie there I really enjoy. <\/p>\n There\u2019s a massive group of us who\u2019ve realised all our shows clash and we\u2019re thrilled about it because it maximises time for us to all hang out (and Mosque Kitchen\/the Ting Thai caravan).<\/p>\n Where can we see your work after Fringe?<\/strong><\/p>\n I\u2019d love to do a tour, but as it stands, the only place to see this show is at the Fringe! <\/p>\n I released last year\u2019s show on Bandcamp so likely this one will end up there as well at some point but we\u2019ll see what happens. <\/p>\n I\u2019m also releasing a book soon \u2013 there\u2019s lots in the pipeline!<\/p>\n \t\t\tLike this:<\/p>\n Like Loading…<\/p>\n
