Phil Parkinson\u2019s side have been looking at their Championship rivals to sign yet another centre-forward this summer.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Within the transfer window since their promotion from League One<\/a> to the second tier, Wrexham<\/a> are proving their intent for the upcoming Championship campaign.<\/p>\n

The Red Dragons have made several statement signings this summer, after Wrexham signed Ryan Hardie<\/a> from Plymouth Argyle<\/a>, with Danny Ward, Liberato Cacece, and George Thomason joining him at the Welsh giants.<\/p>\n

This week, Wrexham signed Josh Windass<\/a> after his Sheffield Wednesday exit, and have also recruited former Swansea City midfielder Lewis O\u2019Brien.<\/p>\n

Now, Phil Parkinson<\/a> and the Red Dragons recruitment team must keep the momentum up by completing the move for a \u201cprolific\u201d Championship<\/a> striker who is \u201cin talks\u201d with Wrexham.<\/p>\n

After Wrexham won three successive promotions<\/a>, the Red Dragons are on a rapid upward trajectory and are backed by many as top-six contenders for the 2025\/26 Championship campaign<\/a>.<\/p>\n

If Parkinson\u2019s side are to do the unthinkable next season, outscoring second tier opponents will be crucial to the promotion quest, and Sheffield United<\/a> striker Kieffer Moore would be an ideal addition.<\/p>\n

This week, Wrexham have shown interest in Moore<\/a>, who scored six goals in 30 appearances for the Blades last season.<\/p>\n

Now, that interest has materialised into \u201cinitial talks\u201d between the 32-year-old and the Red Dragons.<\/p>\n

Sky Sports reporter Anthony Joseph outlined on Friday: \u201cWrexham\u00a0are in talks to sign\u00a0Sheffield United\u00a0striker\u00a0Kieffer Moore.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s understood that talks are at an initial stage and no agreement has been reached yet.\u201d<\/p>\n

Adding on Sky Sports<\/a>: \u201cThe Wales international, 32, is a prolific Championship striker with 60 goals in 203 appearances.\u201d<\/p>\n

After Paul Mullin left Wrexham for Wigan Athletic<\/a> on loan, Parkinson is in the market for another experienced striker. <\/p>\n

Therefore, the Red Dragons boss should look no further than the 49-time capped Welsh international.<\/p>\n

EFL veteran Moore\u2019s recent season concluded in heartbreak after Sunderland beat Sheffield United in the play-off final<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately for the Welshman, his last action of the 2024\/25 Championship campaign saw him miscontrol a pass, which landed perfectly at the feet of Tommy Watson, whose 95th-minute winner sent Sunderland<\/a> back to the top flight at the expense of Moore and the Blades.<\/p>\n

With Parkinson\u2019s trademark 3-5-2 set-up at Wrexham in mind, an attacking trident of Moore alongside either Hardie or Sam Smith, with Windass in behind the two, would strike fear into the hearts of any second tier defence.<\/p>\n

Although he has failed to reach double digits for goals in a single season since his 20-goal campaign for Cardiff City<\/a> in 2020\/21, Moore has proven throughout his 13-year career that he is a real handful for defences, even when not scoring.<\/p>\n

Surely, if the Red Dragons\u2019 talks with Moore materialise into signing the prolific and experienced forward, Wrexham\u2019s best league finish<\/a> will be bettered next season.<\/p>\n
