Leeds United haven\u2019t stopped this transfer window, as the 49ers have already spent big this summer<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

After the plethora of new additions, Gabriel Gudmundsson<\/a> has already looked impressive in a Leeds shirt.<\/p>\n

Gudmundsson showed his stability<\/a>, which will be useful in the Premier League, but also how he can be an attacking option in the absence of Junior Firpo<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The 26-year-old has been settling in and looks to work well in Farke\u2019s system moving forward.<\/p>\n

This was shown in the pre-season opener as Gudmundsson made overlapping runs vs Man United<\/a>, which caused a threat to Ruben Amorim\u2019s side.<\/p>\n

His ability is clear, but the reason he actually chose to join Leeds in a \u00a310m deal from Lille was all thanks to fellow countryman and former Leeds defender Pontus Jansson<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cPontus Jansson has the same agent as me, so of course I\u2019m familiar with him, and he told me just great things about Leeds,\u201d Gudmundsson said to the Yorkshire Evening Post. <\/p>\n

\u201cHe told me I have big shoes to fill. Funny guy. Top guy. He was really satisfied with his years in Leeds.\u201d<\/p>\n

Gudmundsson has big task ahead to replicate Junior Firpo success at Leeds<\/p>\n

The Swede is looking like an exciting option down that left flank, but he will have a lot to live up to if he\u2019s to replicate Firpo\u2019s success.<\/p>\n

Gudmundsson showed his attacking intent, but to match Firpo\u2019s 14-goal involvements from the Championship will be a hard feat.<\/p>\n

He can still find his way to get involved in goals, but to emulate the 28-year-old\u2019s efforts will be difficult.<\/p>\n

There will obviously be comparisons between the two, but what stands out in terms of the Swede\u2019s advantage is Gudmundsson\u2019s ability to stay fit<\/a>, which is something Firpo struggled with.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s plenty more to see from him, and if Gudmundsson has the same attitude as Jansson moving forward, he will make for an ideal Firpo successor.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
