Though many have hoped for peace in the British royal family<\/a> following the “peace summit” held by Prince Harry<\/a> and King Charles<\/a>‘ aides, not everyone is convinced that’s all there is to it.<\/p>\n

Royal expert Hilary Fordwich believes that the monarch is “cautious and wary” of a potential reunion with his younger son, who will be coming back home to host his passion project, the Invictus Games, in Birmingham in 2027.<\/p>\n

A potential truce would be hig\ufeffh-stakes for both parties, says the royal watcher.<\/p>\n

“For Harry, it’s about what he can gain, while, for the royals, it’s about what they have to lose,” she told Fox News<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“However, he hasn’t been successful in any of his endeavours. For the royals, more disclosures and scandals are concerning.<\/p>\n

“They simply don’t need \u2026 Harry around, particularly not Prince William, who is resolute regarding any reconciliation being a huge mistake,” she said.<\/p>\n

9honey’s royal expert Natalie Oliveri \ufeffadds that the timing of the reunion is “suspicious” in light of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s $150 million Netflix deal reportedly not being renewed.<\/p>\n

The meeting itself occurred last week between Harry’s communications officer and head of his household in Montecito, the newly-promoted Meredith Maines and Liam Maguire, who runs the Sussexes’ British PR team, who met with the King’s communication secretary, Tobyn Andreae.<\/p>\n

The encounter took place at the Royal Over-Seas League private member’s club, not far from Buckingham Palace.<\/p>\n

Photos of the meeting were soon splashed across the front page of a major Sunday newspaper in the UK following what is believed to have been a tip-off to a journalist<\/a>, though both sides have denied this.\ufeff<\/p>\n
