Days after slamming SNL’s ‘mean and unfunny’ <\/a>White Lotus-inspired sketch, which included a cruel joke about her teeth, the English actress, 31, revealed\u00a0Sherman extended a sweet olive branch.\u00a0<\/p>\n

‘Thank you for the beautiful flowers,’ Wood captioned a photo, uploaded to her Instagram Story, of a stunning floral arrangement from\u00a0Sherman.<\/p>\n

Previously Wood defended Sherman’s portrayal of her as she explained to her fans that she wasn’t ‘hating on her’ but the concept of the sketch.\u00a0<\/p>\n

‘The joke was about fluoride. I have big gap teeth not bad teeth,’ she wrote on her Instagram Story earlier this week. ‘Yes, take the p**s for sure \u2014 that\u2019s what the show is about \u2014 but there must be a [more clever], more nuanced, less cheap way?’<\/p>\n

Previously, Wood stated that she received an apology from SNL, but did not say from who.\u00a0<\/p>\n

‘Mocking Aimee\u2019s appearance is honestly so gross. You\u2019re personally attacking her and not her characters,’ one angry Instagram user wrote under one of Sherman’s posts.<\/p>\n

Another wrote: ‘Mocking a woman\u2019s appearance? Do better.’<\/p>\n

‘Will Aimee be getting an apology for your really unfunny impersonation?’ A third asked.<\/p>\n

A fourth accused Sherman of not being a ‘a girl’s girl’ for participating in bodyshaming in 2025.<\/p>\n

‘That Aimee Lou bit was a rare miss. Pointlessly cruel. We expect better,’ a fifth chimed in.<\/p>\n

In response to the comment, one Instagram user stepped in to defend Sherman as he reminded others that while it was in ‘bad taste’ it wasn’t just ‘Sarah\u2019s choice.’<\/p>\n

On Sunday night, The White Lotus star shared a series of posts condemning the sketch show after Sherman wore huge prosthetic teeth while parodying Aimee.<\/p>\n

In response to being mocked on the show, the Sex Education star took to her Instagram Story to slam SNL and address rumours about HBO.<\/p>\n

After the actress went viral for her takedown of the ‘mean and unfunny’ skit, she claimed that SNL had reached out to extend an olive branch.<\/p>\n

Alongside a selfie distorted to make her eyes and mouth larger, she penned: ‘I’ve had apologies from SNL’.<\/p>\n

In the sketch, named The White Potus, it imagined the Trump family and various political figures on holiday at the famous retreat.<\/p>\n

In response, Aimee took aim at the ‘cheap’ joke, as she wrote: ‘Such a shame cuz I had such a great time watching it a couple weeks ago. Yes, take the p**s for sure – that’s what the show is about- but there must be a cleverer, more nuanced, less cheap way?’<\/p>\n

She also shared messages of support from her followers and sister Emily, admitting she’d received ‘thousands’ of messages backing her up.<\/p>\n

Aimee continued: ‘Last thing I’ll say on the matter. I am not thin skinned. I actually love being taken the p**s out of when it’s clever and in good spirits. But the joke was about fluoride. I have big gap teeth not bad teeth.<\/p>\n

‘I don’t mind caricature – I understand that’s what SNL is. But the rest of the skit was punching up and I\/ Chelsea was the only one punched down On… Okay end of.’<\/p>\n

To conclude, she shared a comment from a fan that read: ‘It was a sharp and funny skit until it suddenly took a screeching turn into 1970’s misogyny’, she added: ‘This sums up my view’.<\/p>\n

After noting she was feeling ‘righteous’ but ‘might delete’ her post later, fans encouraged her not to remove it.<\/p>\n

‘Don’t delete it, one comment read. ‘It was mean and unfunny and saying it out loud removes their power.<\/p>\n

‘You’re unreal in every way, I have a big gap in my teeth and an overbite and you’ve genuinely made me feel so much better about myself.<\/p>\n

‘I was going to spend thousands on fixing it all which I’m not doing now because I look at you and think how gorgeous you look so why not try and apply that logic to myself,’ they concluded.<\/p>\n

Another commenter wrote, ‘I agree- everyone else in that parody was a political figure who was being mocked.<\/p>\n

‘The only character who wasn’t political was Chelsea, and they were clearly just taking the piss out of your appearance\/accent, which is extremely c***y and uncalled for.’<\/p>\n

Earlier, she clarified that ‘nobody at HBO called’ her ‘ugly.’<\/p>\n

‘That was my own paranoid thought’ she explained, referring to a recent interview, which she says was misconstrued.<\/p>\n

The star continued: ‘Nobody at HBO would say that. My point in the article was about how our mind plays tricks on us. Please read carefully before getting angry for me.’<\/p>\n

In a recent interview with British GQ<\/a>, Aimee explained that White Lotus creator Mike White had to ‘fight’ to cast her, which made her feel insecure.<\/p>\n

She continued: ‘When someone (not a producer) told me Mike fought for me it was said in a nice way.<\/p>\n

‘I just spiraled about it because of my own imposter syndrome. That was my point. Just really wanted to clear that up because hbo have been nothing but super supportive.<\/p>\n

In the GQ article, Aimee dove into the insecurity, saying, ‘My little head goes: “HBO didn\u2019t want me. And I know why HBO didn\u2019t want me, it\u2019s because I\u2019m ugly.”‘<\/p>\n

She worried that her teeth were now seen by some White Lotus fans as something ‘goofy’ that she hadn’t yet had ‘fixed.’<\/p>\n

‘It makes me really happy that it\u2019s symbolizing rebellion and freedom, but there\u2019s a limit,’ she said.<\/p>\n
