War Machine<\/a>, the action film starring Reacher’s<\/a> Alan Ritchson<\/a>, has been teased as “wild” by Dennis Quaid. <\/p>\n

The upcoming Netflix film depicts the journey of the final recruits at a special operations boot camp, with the trainees being thrust into the action quicker than they anticipated after a deadly force from another world threatens Earth. <\/p>\n

Written and directed by Patrick Hughes, anticipation for War Machine has been rising after filming began in September<\/a>, with Quaid telling MovieWeb<\/a> that his co-star Ritchson would be getting his hands dirty during production. <\/p>\n

“I had a blast down there in Australia for a couple of weeks,” he said. “It was great, because I got to play the general and I never got my uniform dirty at all. Wonderful. Alan was up to his chest and mud. He’s really good in [the film] – it’s going to be wild to watch.”<\/p>\n

In addition to Quaid and Ritchson, the stacked cast for War Machine includes Stephan James, Jai Courtney, Esai Morales, Daniel Webber and Jake Ryan, with Hughes co-writing the screenplay with James Beaufort.<\/p>\n

While War Machine doesn’t currently have a release date, Ritchson was recently seen on the small screen as Jack Reacher, with Prime Video recently airing the third season of the action series<\/a>. <\/p>\n

The widely-acclaimed finale<\/a> drew the appreciation of fans, but Ritchson recently revealed that he was knocked unconscious<\/a> during filming for the episode, recalling: “The whole point is you just watch Reacher get rag-dolled for five minutes straight. <\/p>\n

“I [had] the bright idea to shoot a stunt in a way [where] the camera comes up and stays on my face the whole time while I get smashed through a table on the barn floor. Everybody was like, ‘You’re going to get killed and we’re not going to do that because it’s going to hurt you too bad.’<\/p>\n

“[It was like going] into the seventh circle of hell,” he said of his injury, which left him unconscious for over 24 hours. “That was three weeks we spent doing that fight. That was one, three-second beat in 28 minutes of content.”<\/p>\n

War Machine <\/strong>currently has no release date, whilst Reacher streams on Prime Video.<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n
