Jon Jones came face-to-face with Adlan Amagov again – who famously knocked out the UFC legend in sparring.<\/strong><\/p>\n

‘Bones’ was present at a bare-knuckle boxing show ran by the IBA in Russia, and he was given a heroic welcome.<\/p>\n

He was then brought back into the ring, where he was greeted by former training partner Amagov.<\/p>\n

The pair held a friendly greeting and Jones was able to address the crowd.<\/p>\n

The American spoke about his famous sparring session with Amagov, which was first leaked by former UFC<\/a> star Carlos Condit.<\/p>\n

Jones has recalled in the past<\/a> that he was knocked out by a spinning leg kick from the devastating Russian, who is far lighter and competes at welterweight.<\/p>\n

And in the ring, Jones recalled exactly why he is so fearful of the veteran.<\/p>\n

He said: “Adlan\u2019s the only man [to beat me]. A beautiful human being, brother. <\/p>\n

“I just love the way that he\u2019s so loved and beloved by his people and I\u2019m honored to have had my time with him.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jones hilariously snubbed a face-off with his former training partner, suggesting he was ‘done’ with taking him on.<\/p>\n

But then the pair burst into a hilarious impromptu spar in the ring, feinting and weaving in comical shots.<\/p>\n

He then threw his own playful spinning kick, a nod to the famous shot that stopped him in their sparring session years ago.<\/p>\n

But Jones was beaten in sparring by a Russian star in 2018<\/p>\n

But Amagov, who fought in the UFC and Strikeforce several years ago, was the man to do it.<\/p>\n

The 15-fight star hasn’t fought since 2016 and hung up his gloves aged 27, so any public sequel will be impossible.<\/p>\n

Jones has been beaten once on his competitive record, a disqualification defeat to Matt Hamill in 2009.<\/p>\n

But it was a contentious call, with the rules since changed following his disqualification.<\/p>\n

It was an intriguing sight to see Jones back in brief and comical fighting action.<\/p>\n

But MMA fans may want to see Jones return competitively, and could well do so in the near future.<\/p>\n

Jones vacated his title<\/a> and announced his retirement after failing to agree a deal to fight newly crowned champion Tom Aspinall.<\/p>\n

But the American heavyweight has now made an official U-turn<\/a>, and is back in the drug testing pool.<\/p>\n

The 38-year-old is eyeing a return on a historic bill which is set to take place at the White House, with plans announced by Donald Trump.<\/p>\n
