{"id":296281,"date":"2025-07-27T16:17:33","date_gmt":"2025-07-27T16:17:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/296281\/"},"modified":"2025-07-27T16:17:33","modified_gmt":"2025-07-27T16:17:33","slug":"were-convinced-its-blood-coming-from-suitcase-what-caller-told-999-operator-6","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/296281\/","title":{"rendered":"We\u2019re convinced it\u2019s blood coming from suitcase \u2013 what caller told 999 operator"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Yostin Andres Mosquera, 35, killed civil partners Albert Alfonso, 62, and Paul Longworth, 71, on July 8 last year in their flat in Scotts Road, Shepherd\u2019s Bush, west London.<\/p>\n<p>Mosquera, who was also staying with the couple, \u201cdecapitated and dismembered\u201d them, froze parts of their remains and brought the rest in suitcases to Clifton Suspension Bridge in Bristol, the prosecution said.<\/p>\n<p>A jury at Woolwich Crown Court found Mosquera guilty of murdering the men on Monday.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/2.79937312.jpg\" alt=\"Court artist drawing by Elizabeth Cook of Yostin Andres Mosquera (right). \" data-title=\"Yostin Andres Mosquera court case\" data-copyright-holder=\"PA Wire\" data-copyright-notice=\"PA Wire\/PA Images\" data-credit=\"Elizabeth Cook\" data-usage-terms=\"\"  \/>An artist\u2019s impression of the killer, Yostin Andres Mosquera, right (Elizabeth Cook\/PA)<\/p>\n<p>Avon and Somerset Police were called to the Bristol landmark just before midnight on July 10 last year, after bridge staff became suspicious.<\/p>\n<p>They had been dealing with a woman in crisis when they saw Mosquera with two heavy suitcases on the Leigh Woods side of the bridge.<\/p>\n<p>Mosquera told them the large suitcases, one red and one silver, contained car parts and that the liquid dripping from them was oil.<\/p>\n<p>A cyclist challenged Mosquera about the suitcases and bravely chased after the double killer as he fled down a hill \u2013 filming him on his phone.<\/p>\n<p>The 999 call made to police has been released in which the caller says \u201cwe\u2019re convinced it\u2019s blood\u201d about the case and Mosquera \u201cdidn\u2019t want to open the case\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The caller first says, \u201cwe\u2019re going to need police up here quite urgently, I think\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>He says they had a man who was \u201cdragging a case behind him\u201d and he did not speak English, so a man on a bike came along to help as he could speak Spanish.<\/p>\n<p>The caller said Mosquera told them the suitcase contained car parts.<\/p>\n<p>He added: \u201cIt\u2019s really heavy, and there\u2019s blood coming out of it. It looks like there\u2019s blood coming out of the case.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe then said there were two cases, so he went up the road to get the second case.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe guy on the bike who\u2019s just a member of the public, followed him. The guy has now run off.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The caller said of the case: \u201cIt looks like blood to us, without smashing the case open, we\u2019re not really going to know, and that\u2019s obviously for you, but it\u2019s just, it\u2019s, it\u2019s blood. We\u2019re, yeah, we\u2019re convinced it\u2019s blood.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He said they, \u201cdid sort of like suggest to him, do you want to open a case?
