Birmingham City are quickly establishing themselves as one of the favourites for promotion to the Premier League in 2025\/26.<\/strong><\/p>\n

After a record-breaking League One campaign last time out<\/a>, Chris Davies\u2019 side have been busy in the summer transfer window as they look for their Premier League return after 14 years out of the division.<\/p>\n

The addition of Kyogo Furuhashi is very exciting<\/a>, although Alfie May has departed for Huddersfield Town after just a year at St. Andrew\u2019s<\/a>. Nevertheless, Eiran Cashin is a spectacular signing<\/a> and Blues look very strong defensively.<\/p>\n

\u2018Signing of the summer\u2019 claims have been made about Tommy Doyle<\/a>, and it is no surprise after the Birmingham<\/a> midfielder showed his class against Port Vale over the weekend, and promotion could well be on the cards.<\/p>\n

While the step up to the Championship is a large one from League One, Blues\u2019 recruitment has been superb and they may just be towards the top six come May.<\/p>\n

For Doyle, it\u2019s an opportunity to prove himself on a consistent basis at a permanent home and he has spoken about the chance that Birmingham have of promotion this season. <\/p>\n

He said (via: Birmingham Live<\/a>): \u201cI was saying to my dad the other day, because we were speaking about it (promotion), \u2018Listen, I really want to be present and in the moment every single day\u2019.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have a massive chance to do something special and there is obviously people from the outside looking in going, \u2018Gosh, they can get to the Premier League, they can do this and that\u2019, and of course we can but I think the main thing is to be present in the moment right now.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe need to focus day-by-day and get the best out of myself individually and get the best out of my teammates. If we all do that I think we can make something special happen.\u201d<\/p>\n

Tommy Doyle is right to have confidence<\/p>\n

In what has been a busy summer so far, Birmingham have made all the necessary changes that they\u2019ve needed as they go in search of Premier League football.<\/p>\n

The Championship is a very tough division, but once again it looks as though there is a relatively open battle for the top six \u2013 although the top two positions may be tough to break into.<\/p>\n

Blues have incredible financial backing and they have proven this summer that they are not afraid to throw their weight around if needed.<\/p>\n
