As the guards at Buckingham Palace struck up a song in support of the Lionesses, the message that came with it was unmissable.<\/p>\n
The social media accounts of the Royal Family<\/a> called out to the team with the phrase \u201dLet\u2019s Go, Girls!\u201d, adding a Shania style twist to the support. It\u2019s not known whether King Charles or Queen Camilla is a fan of the song that famously uses that as an opening line or whether the two went the whole Twain way and bought the album of the same name.<\/p>\n However, the music was much more suited to the situation. The band outside the Palace gave a rousing chorus of \u2018It\u2019s Coming Home\u2019, the now legendary football song first performed by the Lightening Seeds with Frank Skinner and David Baddiel back in 1996. Since then, it\u2019s become an anthem for England in all kinds of international tournaments and the attempt by the Lionesses to defend their Euros title in Switzerland was no exception.<\/p>\n The message from the Royal Family continued \u201dWishing the very best of luck to the @Lionesses<\/a> in the Women\u2019s Euro Final this evening.\u201d<\/p>\n The Prince of Wales travelled to Switzerland for the match \u2013 Prince William is President of the English Football Association.<\/p>\n
