Manchester United<\/a> are reportedly looking to outbid Brentford in pursuit of their next summer transfer target.<\/p>\n

United recently completed the signing of Bryan Mbeumo<\/a> from the Bees in a deal worth up to \u00a370million, including add-ons. The agreement was struck after weeks of intense negotiations which ended with Mbeumo eventually completing a move to Old Trafford<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Now, it seems that United are ready to go head-to-head with Brentford for their next potential signing of the summer. Metz talent Idrissa Gueye is being linked with a move to United this summer, who is also said to be wanted by the Bees.<\/p>\n

According to The Sun, both United and Brentford are vying for Gueye’s signature this summer. Gueye, 18, is reported to be a top target for new Bees head coach Keith Andrews and is said to be valued at around \u00a315million.<\/p>\n

Burnley are also mentioned as having an interest in signing Gueye this summer. United reportedly view Gueye as a player with a lot of potential and room to develop, while Brentford would apparently be willing to use the teenager as a first-team player straight away.<\/p>\n

Gueye is a graduate of the Metz academy and impressed with five goals in 17 Ligue 2 matches last season.<\/p>\n

So far this summer, United have completed the signings of Mbeumo from Brentford, Matheus Cunha from Wolves, Diego Leon from Cerro Portena on Enzo Kana-Biyik from Le Harve.<\/p>\n

While a new striker could be next on their list of targets, the club may also need outgoings to balance the books. Alejandro Garnacho, Jadon Sancho, Antony and Tyrell Malacia have all informed the club of their desire to leave.<\/p>\n
