Second in line to the British throne, the young Prince is expected to follow in the footsteps of his father and grandfather, continuing the royal legacy. The 12-year-old, who<a href=\"https:\/\/www.theroyalobserver.com\/p\/prince-william-and-kate-middleton-on-a-quiet-mission-to-prepare-prince-george-for-future-role\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> is being groomed by William<\/a>, already has a few protocols to follow, and in doing so, it may also cost him his dream job. George allegedly wishes not to be the monarch, but to become a chef. According to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/article-13947443\/prince-george-says-he-wants-to-become-a-chef-before-becoming-king-as-he-will-not-be-expected-to-serve-in-the-armed-forces.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Daily Mail<\/a>, Desmond MacCarthy, who owns Wiveton Hall Cafe, revealed details about his brief conversation with the future monarch. MacCarthy claimed that George was excited when he was shown the wood-fired pizza oven. Looking at the oven, he even declared, \u201cThat&#8217;s what I want to do when I grow up!\u201d The cafe owner further shared that the Prince of Wales was residing at Charles\u2019s rural retreat, Anmer Hall. He said, \u201cThey came here with their friends, because Sandringham isn&#8217;t that far away.\u201d Speaking of George, he shared, \u201cHe was a sweet boy \u2013 they start to become less appealing as they grow up.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.theroyalobserver.com\/p\/prince-george-would-inherit-not-one-not-two-but-8-new-titles-when-william-becomes-king\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">George is destined to one day be King<\/a>, but before the time comes, he may take up a different career path. However, it&#8217;s likely to be the mandatory <a style=\"color: #89229b; outline-style: initial; outline-width: 0px; display: inline !important;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theroyalobserver.com\/p\/former-royal-butler-says-prince-george-may-skip-college-for-military-training-whether-he-likes-it\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">military training<\/a>, rather than becoming a chef. His father, the Prince of Wales, before becoming a full-time working royal, worked for the East Anglian Air Ambulance for two years after training as an Air Ambulance Pilot. Prince Harry, George\u2019s uncle, was also a trained Army Air Corps pilot.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Commenting on the same, Charles\u2019s former butler, Grand Harrold, told the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.express.co.uk\/news\/royal\/2082401\/king-charles-queen-elizabeth-smartest-royals\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Daily Express<\/a>, \u201cIn particular, George, as it is seen as vital for future kings to have had some sort of military training, so you can guarantee that George, whether he likes it or not, will have to go through that military training.\u201d The butler explained, \u201cYou are the commanding chief of the Armed Forces, so you have got to know the profession.&#8221; In Harrold\u2019s views, the modern scenario, however, may change this protocol as he claimed, \u201cThere might not be so much pressure when it comes to George; only time will tell.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" id=\"figure-image\" contenteditable=\"false\" src=\"https:\/\/d3iil1tw1mksp7.cloudfront.net\/dff90bc0-76d0-4d3c-b92f-8836a61734a0.png\" alt=\"Prince George's official birthday portrait. The occasion was marked by the release of the young Prince\u2019s official portrait on social media. In the new picture, George wears a layered shirt with a sleeveless jacket, smiling warmly for the camera.
