At the last possible moment, the Dutch team managed to shake off the yellow jersey wearer Tadej Pogacar (UAE Emirates-XRG), although it was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.idlprocycling.com\/wout-van-aert\" title=\"Wout van Aert\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Wout van Aert<\/a> who did it on Montmartre. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.idlprocycling.com\/jonas-vingegaard\" title=\"Jonas Vingegaard\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jonas Vingegaard<\/a> finished safely and spoke to<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/sport.tv2.dk\/live\/cykling\/2025-07-27-van-aert-i-kaempe-triumf-pogacar-vinder-touren\" rel=\"noopener\"> TV2<\/a> after the race.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Vingegaard took second place on the final podium, something that never gets old. \u201cIt&#8217;s always special to come to Paris. It&#8217;s the end of the world&#8217;s biggest race, and there are a lot of people. Normally, the weather is good, but today it was terrible,\u201d said the Dane. \u201cSomehow it&#8217;s just extraordinary to be here and to be on the podium.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Visma | Lease a Bike team leader has now competed in the Tour five times and has finished on the podium every time. \u201cLooking back on my career and thinking about what I&#8217;ve achieved, I think it&#8217;s something to be proud of: that I&#8217;ve completed the Tour de France five times and finished on the podium five times.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Read more below the photo!<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/vingegaard-pogacar-68867b2d28946.png@webp.webp\" class=\"w-auto\" alt=\"'vingegaard-pogacar\"\/>Vingegaard receives kind words from Pogacar<\/p>\n<p>But the two-time winner&#8217;s thirst for victory isn&#8217;t over yet, as he said earlier. \u201cObviously, I would have loved to win. I&#8217;m not hiding that, but it&#8217;s still something I can take pride in. But I would have loved to win,\u201d said Vingegaard, who also received some lovely words from rival Pogacar before the final stage.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBefore the start, I spoke with Jonas about how much has changed in recent years,\u201d said the Slovenian. \u201cWe&#8217;ve been racing against each other in the Tour for five years now and pushing each other to a higher level. We have to push our limits to beat each other, so I have to give him credit for that.
