Mateo Joseph is among a collective of Leeds United strikers who face the exit at Elland Road.<\/strong><\/p>\n Promotion to the Premier League means that the Peacocks are on the hunt for upgrades ahead of the new season at Elland Road.<\/p>\n Joseph has been linked with a move away from Leeds<\/a>, with the Spanish youth international now demanding an exit to Daniel Farke.<\/p>\n The interest of Real Betis is no secret, in what is becoming a crunch window for the Spaniard.<\/p>\n Leeds are said to be unhappy with Joseph<\/a>, who has missed training and the Germany trip in a bid to force a move away from Elland Road.<\/p>\n The 21-year-old made 39 appearances in the Championship last season, but only 11 of those came as starts.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n The Spaniard featured mainly as a substitute (Sofascore<\/a>)<\/p>\n Joel Piroe has been Farke\u2019s number one weapon in attack and finished the 2024\/25 campaign as the Golden Boot winner with 19 goals.<\/p>\n With the Whites eyeing more reinforcements in attack, the Spain under-21 international is likely to find opportunities even more sparse.<\/p>\n SPORT has reported in its print edition (28 July, pg 26) that the objective of Real Betis boss Manuel Pellegrini<\/a> and sporting director Manu Fajardo is the signing of Joseph<\/a>.<\/p>\n The Spanish newspaper shared the latest after Borja Iglesias was left out of the Betis squad for a friendly victory over Cordoba, as they push for Joseph.<\/p>\n AS journalist Joe Brennan<\/a> exclusively told MOT Leeds News<\/strong> that it is clear that the Peacocks will not bend over for anyone in the market, with the issue being what they are willing to accept for the player.<\/p>\n Given that the 21-year-old evidently wants to leave the Yorkshire club, they should look to move him on.<\/p>\n Having a player who does not want to be around the place can only be damaging, and Farke<\/a> will want harmony within his squad.<\/p>\n However, there is the issue of money, and the Whites will not want to be shortchanged when it comes to Joseph.<\/p>\n While he has not made a substantial impact at Elland Road, he is a player who could kick on in the future.<\/p>\n His price could prove a sticking point, but with three years left on his contract, Leeds are in a strong selling position.<\/p>\n![\"Mateo](\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/mateo-joseph-1024x576.jpg\")
