Leeds United were interested in Feyenoord winger Igor Paixao, but have now lost the battle for his signature.<\/strong><\/p>\n Paixao<\/a> has agreed to join Olympique Marseille, despite the Whites making an improved bid to sign the Brazilian in recent days, in a frustrating blow.<\/p>\n Leeds<\/a> were keen on the winger to add more firepower to their attack, but they will now have to look elsewhere, with Paixao set for a medical with Marseille.<\/p>\n The 25-year-old could have been a marquee signing to play out wide, but MOT Leeds News<\/strong> have now listed three targets the Whites can sign instead.<\/p>\n The obvious alternative to Paixao is Manor Solomon<\/a>, who impressed on loan at Leeds in the Championship last season, but there is sure to be a mixed reaction if he does return.<\/p>\n As it stands, Solomon is keen on earning a chance under Thomas Frank at Tottenham<\/a>, but if he does leave, then Leeds is a likely destination.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n Solomon has Premier League experience and would seamlessly slot into the side again, but question marks remain over whether he can produce a similar level of output in the top flight as he did last season.<\/p>\n USMNT forward Timothy Weah<\/a> is set to leave Juventus this summer, and Leeds could be a viable option for him.<\/p>\n Weah was reportedly keen on joining Marseille<\/a>, but with Paixao now headed there, a move to the Premier League could be on the cards instead.<\/p>\n Weah\u2019s record in Serie A (2024\/25)<\/p>\n The 25-year-old can play on both wings, as well as through the middle, and would offer speed and an extra goal threat to the front line.<\/p>\n Cameron Archer<\/strong><\/p>\n Although typically a centre-forward, Southampton attacker Cameron Archer<\/a> is also capable of playing on both wings, and could be an alternative to Paixao.<\/p>\n The 23-year-old was linked with a move to Elland Road<\/a> in recent months, having featured heavily in the Premier League last season.<\/p>\n Archer does have experience under his belt, but was relegated with Sheffield United and Southampton, but could thrive in a better team under Daniel Farke<\/a>, and may be a versatile alternative to Paixao.<\/p>\n The England Under-21 international has thrived in the Championship in the past, and may be a wildcard option depending on the potential transfer fee.<\/p>\n![\"Feyenoord](\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Igor-Paixao-2-1024x576.jpg\")
