Tottenham Hotspur have now officially begun talks over landing a Brazilian international, while Liverpool are maintaining a watching brief.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Spurs fans are understandably upset at the way the Morgan Gibbs-White saga was handled<\/a>, and many of them expect the club to make some big moves after wasting two and a half weeks chasing the Nottingham Forest star.<\/p>\n

Reports from Spain are now indicating that the Lilywhites may be prepared to do just that by pushing ahead with a move for a Real Madrid star.<\/p>\n

On Sunday, it was reported by AS that Tottenham are advancing their interest in Rodrygo<\/a> after the likes of Arsenal and Bayern Munich cooled their interest in the Brazilian.<\/p>\n

According to journalist Ramon Alvarez de Mon, Spurs<\/a> have now started talks over a sensational deal for the 24-year-old.<\/p>\n

He revealed that all parties are still waiting to see if Liverpool make a move, but the pacy winger has not made a final decision on his future just yet and has not even ruled out staying at the Santiago Bernabeu.<\/p>\n

Alvarez de Mon tweeted: \u2018Tottenham are in talks for Rodrygo and are waiting to see if Liverpool makes a move. No decision has been made on the player\u2019s part, and he could stay at Real Madrid.\u2019<\/p>\n

According to some sources, Tottenham would have to pay \u20ac90m (\u00a376m) to land Rodrygo<\/a>, which would comfortably make him the Premier League\u2019s record signing.<\/p>\n

Rodrygo move might be tied to Heung-min Son\u2019s future<\/p>\n

It is perhaps no coincidence that the speculation linking the Real Madrid star with a move to Tottenham Hotspur<\/a> has intensified just as reports indicate that Heung-min Son now looks increasingly likely to depart Spurs<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Reports suggest that Tottenham are ready to accept a cut-price fee for Son<\/a> if he decides that he wants to join Los Angeles FC this summer.<\/p>\n

One would expect Thomas Frank\u2019s<\/a> men to replace the South Korean if he departs, and landing Rodrygo would certainly be a big statement by the North Londoners.<\/p>\n
