talkSPORT’s Simon Jordan insists that Alexander Isak must follow his orders at Newcastle despite wanting to leave.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The former Crystal Palace owner<\/a> has also told Liverpool<\/a> to bid for the striker rather than unsettling him during the summer window.<\/p>\n

Isak<\/a> has dealt Newcastle<\/a> a massive transfer blow by telling the club he wants to explore his options away from St. James’ Park<\/a>.<\/p>\n

He was left behind for their pre-season tour in Singapore after what the club claimed to be a thigh injury’.<\/p>\n

Newcastle boss Eddie Howe said there is ‘no chance’ of Isak joining them later on<\/a> amid the growing speculation over a move to Liverpool.<\/p>\n

A \u00a3150million price tag has been set by the Magpies, who have missed out on targets including Bryan Mbeumo, Joao Pedro and Hugo Ekitike.<\/p>\n

Appearing on White and Jordan, host Ade Oladipo questioned if Isak will be disappointed with the lack of top signings being made.<\/p>\n

However, Jordan believes the 25-year-old should comply with the club and that Liverpool must bid, or face a tough transfer saga.<\/p>\n

“There’s also a school of thought that he can do whatever he pleases,” he said. <\/p>\n

“He can also do as he’s bloody told, buckle up and do as he’s told. It depends how strong a football club wants to be. Liverpool can sit there…<\/p>\n

“I’d like to see at times, these miscreants over at the PFA [Professional Footballers’ Association]. I have a few things to say about players and their attitude when they decide they’re not going to turn up for training.<\/p>\n

“Or, they’re not going to turn in for contractual obligations because they don’t like the club they’re now playing for.<\/p>\n

“And the LMA [League Managers Association] and managers, and their conduct at times, but we’ll leave Mr [Martin] O’Neill to deal with that given he’s the chairman of the LMA now.<\/p>\n

“Look, if Liverpool want to buy this player, then they should get on with trying to buy him, and Newcastle have got to be very strong in what they want. <\/p>\n

“I don’t really care what Alexander Isak wants right now. If I’m the owner of the football club, the manager of the football club, my job is to make sure that I’m okay.<\/p>\n

“So if you want to come and buy my player, come buy him or bugger off. <\/p>\n

“Don’t use all the forces of the fact that you’re a football club that achieved something last year, your second Premier League title in 33 years but you’ve achieved it now and in the last five years, your club has re-emerged as a force in English football, dominating leagues. <\/p>\n

“But don’t use that as an opportunity just to unsettle the player. Make a bid, or I’m going to make it really, really hard for you to buy this player.<\/p>\n

“And I’m going to take the consequences of it, and the player will have to accept the principles of what I’m saying, and it can be done. <\/p>\n

“Lesser clubs… I know, I did it with Andrew Johnson when he was an England player. Palace got relegated, he was told he wasn’t going to Everton, end of discussion.<\/p>\n

“‘You’re not going, and you and your gastly little agent Leon Angel can sling your hook, you’re not going.'”<\/p>\n

What’s the latest on Isak to Liverpool?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Despite alreading signing former Newcastle target Ekitike in a \u00a379m deal, Liverpool remain keen to add Isak to their striker options.<\/p>\n

Should they meet the \u00a3150m asking price, the Reds would complete a British record transfer.<\/p>\n

talkSPORT’s chief football correspondent Alex Crook gave an update on Isak’s potential move to the Premier League champions.<\/p>\n

“It’s certainly becoming the saga of the summer. Obviously Liverpool have agreed a deal to sell Luis Diaz to Bayern Munich for around about \u00a365.5m.<\/p>\n

“It actually takes the money they’ve raked in in transfer fees to \u00a3190m. <\/p>\n

“I think the net spend this summer is now only \u00a3115m because I think a lot of Newcastle fans are asking from a PSR perspective, ‘How can they afford to sign Hugo Ekitike for big money and Isak as well?’<\/p>\n

“He is still a dream target for Liverpool, I think they will want encouragement from Newcastle that they’re ready to accept a British record bid before they actually make that interest formal.<\/p>\n

“I’ve spoken before with Simon about the respect at the top of the two football clubs, with Richard Hughes, the Liverpool sporting director, and Eddie Howe, the Newcastle manager having a really close relationship.<\/p>\n

“So, I think they’ll go about this respectfully, but it’s pretty clear that Isak is pushing for a move.<\/p>\n

“You don’t leave your star player out of a lucrative pre-season tour when it’s as much about endorsements and appearances as it is about getting on the pitch, because he’s got a minor thigh issue.<\/p>\n
