A huge cannabis farm with 800 plants was discovered by police after raiding a property in Tameside on Sunday morning (April 13).<\/p>\n
Officers carried out the warrant at the address on Stockport<\/a> Road in Mossley at around 7am. Upon entering the property, officers uncovered a cannabis farm, containing approximately 800 plants.<\/p>\n Multiple other drug paraphernalia, including growing equipment, was also discovered, police said. The illicit goods were all subsequently seized.<\/p>\n Join our Court and Crime WhatsApp group HERE<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n Greater Manchester Police<\/a> said the electricity at the address was discovered to have been bypassed \u2013 with sparks seen coming off them as they were moved and made safe.<\/p>\n Enquiries are currently ongoing as part of the investigation into the discovery. No arrests have yet been made in connection with the incident.<\/p>\n Inspector Rachel Eaton, from GMP\u2019s Tameside<\/a> district, said: \u201cCracking down on drugs supply across our district is a key aim of our local neighbourhood teams, and we are committed to removing these illicit products off our streets and punishing those responsible.<\/p>\n \u201cThis was a great find for the local team and I know that there will be plenty more positive results in the coming weeks and months.<\/p>\n \u201cA lot of our work is dependent on the intelligence we get from our communities, and I would urge anyone with any relevant information to get in touch with us.\u201d<\/p>\n You can contact police via 101 or gmp.police.uk.
