\n The South Gloucestershire Council’s Champions Awards celebrated their resilience in overcoming challenges.\n<\/p>\n
\n More than 100 attendees, including foster carers and council leaders, gathered for the event.\n<\/p>\n
\n Nominations for the awards came from professionals and foster carers, and were reviewed by a panel of young people and council directors.\n<\/p>\n
\n Awards were given in eight categories, with 32 individuals receiving Standout Awards for exceptional achievements.\n<\/p>\n
\n Councillor Simon Johnson, cabinet member for children and young people, said: “I’m incredibly honoured to have been part of this year’s Champions Awards and to hear the truly inspirational stories shared by our children and young people.\n<\/p>\n
\n “These awards are about so much more than recognition; they’re a powerful way of showing our young people that we value them and we believe in them.”\n<\/p>\n
