{"id":300311,"date":"2025-07-29T04:48:12","date_gmt":"2025-07-29T04:48:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/300311\/"},"modified":"2025-07-29T04:48:12","modified_gmt":"2025-07-29T04:48:12","slug":"south-gloucestershire-care-awards-honour-young-people","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/300311\/","title":{"rendered":"South Gloucestershire care awards honour young people"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n  The South Gloucestershire Council&#8217;s Champions Awards celebrated their resilience in overcoming challenges.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  More than 100 attendees, including foster carers and council leaders, gathered for the event.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Nominations for the awards came from professionals and foster carers, and were reviewed by a panel of young people and council directors.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Awards were given in eight categories, with 32 individuals receiving Standout Awards for exceptional achievements.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Councillor Simon Johnson, cabinet member for children and young people, said: &#8220;I&#8217;m incredibly honoured to have been part of this year&#8217;s Champions Awards and to hear the truly inspirational stories shared by our children and young people.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  &#8220;These awards are about so much more than recognition; they&#8217;re a powerful way of showing our young people that we value them and we believe in them.&#8221;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Standout award recipient, Shawney, who was recognised for her continuous help to others, said: &#8220;I enjoyed the night and saw lots of people, and loved how many were recognised for their achievements.&#8221;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The South Gloucestershire Council&#8217;s Champions Awards celebrated their resilience in overcoming challenges.
