Risk a lot highlights the serious consequences of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs..\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  In 2023, 130 people in West Yorkshire were killed or seriously injured in collisions involving impaired drivers.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Lilian Greenwood, Minister for the Future of Roads, said: &#8220;The consequences of drinking before driving can be life-changing \u2013 from losing your licence to injuring or even killing yourself or someone else.&#8221;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Alison Lowe OBE, Chair of the West Yorkshire Vision Zero Partnership and Deputy Mayor for Policing and Crime, urged drivers to think before getting behind the wheel.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Ms Lowe said: &#8220;We want everyone to enjoy their summers but if you\u2019re driving, please don\u2019t do so under the influence.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  &#8220;We don\u2019t want anyone to experience the pain and devastation of losing a loved one in a crash and we are doing all we can to reduce these incidents to zero.&#8221;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Last summer, more than 600 people were arrested for drink and drug driving across the region.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The campaign targets high-risk young male drivers and will run throughout the summer through social media, radio and in-pub advertising.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Drink a little. Risk is being supported by West Yorkshire Vision Zero.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The THINK! campaign, Drink a little.
