Love Island USA<\/a> Season 6 and Love Island: Beyond the Villa<\/a> stars JaNa Craig and Kenny Rodriguez have called it quits after one year of dating.<\/p>\n

According to Us Weekly<\/a>, the former lovebirds, who connected during the sixth season of the reality dating competition show and placed third<\/a> in the season finale, sparked split rumors after Craig and her villa besties, Serena Page and Leah Kateb, unfollowed Rodriguez on Instagram. Rodriguez later removed Craig\u2019s name from his bio on the platform.<\/p>\n

The couple has yet to confirm the news of their breakup themselves, but let\u2019s have a look back at their relationship.<\/p>\n

June 2024: Distance makes the heart grow fonder<\/p>\n

After leaving the villa, the couple opened up about the challenges that come with being in a long-distance relationship, according to Us Weekly<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t want to move [to Dallas] right away. I think we could do our own thing, change our work schedules so we can spend time [and do], like, a year of visiting each other \u2014 or less maybe \u2014 but me moving to Dallas right now would be crazy,\u201d Craig said while appearing on The Viall Files podcast with her beau. \u201cHe leaves [Los Angeles, where the podcast episode was taped] today and I\u2019m so sad! It was like, \u2018Oh, we\u2019re gonna be good and FaceTime all the time.’\u201d<\/p>\n

She added, \u201cBut knowing that I\u2019m [here] until Tuesday and he\u2019s leaving today, I was like, \u2018This sucks because we spent every day together for the past month and a half.\u2019 It\u2019s, like, we\u2019re naturally best friends and partners. For him to leave, it\u2019s super sad.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rodriguez agreed with Craig and said her \u201ctouch\u201d is what he\u2019ll miss most.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think she makes me feel great,\u201d he said lovingly. \u201cLike, she\u2019ll put her hands through my hair. That\u2019s her love language and she does a great job at making me feel appreciated.\u201d<\/p>\n

February 2025: Declarations of love<\/p>\n

In February, Craig shared her love for Rodriguez in a since-deleted Instagram post.<\/p>\n

\u201cIm not sure if you think too much about it, but everyday since leaving the villa, I\u2019ve asked God how did i get so blessed to have you by my side. You\u2019re not just my best friend, you\u2019re my safe place. I love doing life with you. Your love gives me the courage to be myself around you and for that, I\u2019m forever thankful. I hope this day brings you as much happiness as you bring me,\u201d she wrote, adding, \u201cI see how much love and care you put into the world, and please know it never goes unnoticed. Your mom, abuela, aunts, and cousins couldn\u2019t have raised an even more perfect, God fearing gentlemen that truly has a heart of gold. So at this point im crying lol; which means i should probably stop writing here.\u201d<\/p>\n

Craig concluded the loving tribute by reassuring him of her commitment to their relationship.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut i need you to know i will always be here for you, even if things don\u2019t work out the way we wanted,\u201d she continued. \u201cI will always support you in any adventure, endeavor, or hardship that comes your way. May God open every door your heart desires and may God continue to bless and protect the most incredible person in my life.\u201d<\/p>\n

June 2025: First anniversary plans<\/p>\n

Leading up to their first anniversary, the couple gushed about their relationship, Us Weekly<\/a> reported.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou know what\u2019s so crazy? When it first came out, it didn\u2019t hit me,\u201d Craig told\u00a0the outlet at the\u00a02025 American Music Awards. \u201cThe first six months outside the villa, I don\u2019t think it hit me. But now that it\u2019s settled down and season 7 is coming, I was like, \u2018My gosh, I did that last summer.’\u201d<\/p>\n

Craig added that they recently went out to dinner with their Season 6 castmates.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have a lot of fun together as couples,\u201d she shared.<\/p>\n

Rodriguez said they hang out with their former villa roommates \u201call the time.\u201d<\/p>\n

The couple also shared their anniversary plans, with Rodriguez hinting that he has a few tricks up his sleeve for Craig.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s a trip. There\u2019s a trip planned. They\u2019re in the works,\u201d Rodriguez said. \u201cThat\u2019s all I can say. She\u2019s dropping subtle hints.\u201d<\/p>\n

Craig added, \u201cI asked him if we could go to Italy for our one-year, so \u2026\u201d<\/p>\n

July 2025: \u2018Beyond the Villa\u2019<\/p>\n

The duo currently stars in the Love Island USA Season 6 spinoff, Love Island: Beyond the Villa, in which they discuss their long-distance relationship and even lived apart while filming.<\/p>\n

\u201cSince leaving the villa, it\u2019s a big jump moving in together with someone, and I didn\u2019t want it to be televised, especially the first time,\u201d Rodriguez told\u00a0Variety<\/a>. \u201cSo we rented rooms next to each other. Another aspect for me is privacy. When JaNa gets ready for events, she has a huge glam team. Usually, there\u2019s somebody in there for wardrobe, and sometimes I don\u2019t have the space to change and things like that. Granted, we were always together on the show. It was great to experience L.A. and to be with her in the same city.\u201d<\/p>\n

July 26: The couple looked happy in an Instagram Story video<\/p>\n

Just one day before fans started to speculate the couple was no longer in paradise, Craig and Rodriguez looked happy in a video the latter shared on his Instagram Story, according to Us Weekly.
