Leeds are planning a swoop for AS Roma striker Artem Dovbyk.<\/strong><\/p>\n Daniel Farke<\/a> is desperate for attacking reinforcements as there are concerns about Joel Piroe\u2019s ability to cut it in the Premier League.<\/p>\n The German has already informed Patrick Bamford that he is not in his plans<\/a> for the new season and Mateo Joseph is also heading for the exit door.<\/p>\n Lukas Nmecha<\/a> was signed as a free agent, but there is a feeling that the Whites need more firepower if they are going to survive.<\/p>\n The Elland Road outfit have already spent approximately \u00a374million,<\/a> but they need to strengthen further if they are to have any chance of staying up. <\/p>\n A report from La Gazzetta Dello Sport (page 18, 29 July) claims that the Whites are interested in the Ukrainian forward. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n It states that Roma\u2019s asking price will be around \u00a330.3m because they signed him for a similar amount last summer. <\/p>\n The 28-year-old is a proven goalscorer in the elite leagues, notching 12 goals and two assists in 32 Serie A matches last season. <\/p>\n In La Liga in the 2023\/24 campaign, he bagged 24 goals and eight assists in 36 games with Girona, which earned him the move to the Italian capital. <\/p>\n Dovbyk\u2019s last two seasons.<\/p>\n It seems like he may be on the move again, and the evidence suggests that he is capable of adapting the his new surroundings quickly and firing in goals.<\/p>\n The 49ers Enterprises<\/a> have done an excellent job of backing Farke so far in the transfer window, but a deal for the Roma forward may well be their best business yet.<\/p>\n Whether they can get a deal over the line remains to be seen, but it is an encouraging sign that they are in the market for a top-quality forward.<\/p>\n![\"Patrick](\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/Patrick-Bamford-1024x575.jpg\")
