Following his death at the age of 76<\/a>, Ozzy Osbourne<\/a> is set to make a final journey through his hometown of Birmingham. The singer’s cortege will grace Birmingham’s Broad Street on Wednesday, July 30, where the city’s favourite son will be brought to the floral tributes left by fans at the Black Sabbath bridge and bench.<\/p>\n Accompanied by a live brass band, the procession will guide Ozzy and his family down Broad Street at 1pm on Wednesday, with Bostin’ Brass providing the soundtrack for Ozzy’s last trip through the city before his private family funeral.<\/p>\n The Osbourne family<\/a> will bear the costs of security and other associated expenses for the procession.<\/p>\n Fans of Ozzy and those wishing to show their support for his family are invited to Broad Street to bid farewell to the Freeman of the City of Birmingham, reports Birmingham Live<\/a>.<\/p>\n Black Sabbath bridge has been adorned with tributes and flowers as thousands descend upon the city to pay their respects.<\/p>\n The Lord Mayor of Birmingham, Councillor Zafar Iqbal MBE, JP, said: “Ozzy was more than a music legend – he was a son of Birmingham.<\/p>\n “Having recently been awarded the Freedom of the City and following his celebrated appearance at the Back to the Beginning concert at Villa Park earlier this month, it was important to the city that we support a fitting, dignified tribute ahead of a private family funeral.<\/p>\n “We know how much this moment will mean to his fans.<\/p>\n “We’re proud to host it here with his loving family in the place where it all began, and we are grateful that they have generously offered to pay to enable this to happen and support the city is giving him the farewell he deserves.”<\/p>\n The council has expressed gratitude towards businesses and residents of Broad Street and the wider city centre for accommodating the procession, as well as West Midlands Police and the West Midlands Metro.<\/p>\n Broad Street will be off-limits to vehicles from 7am, with buses and trams rerouted during the proceedings.<\/p>\n The procession is slated for 1pm, after which Broad Street will be reopened.<\/p>\n Those planning to attend are advised to use public transport to arrive early, with stewards available to provide assistance.<\/p>\n For fans unable to attend, there’s a Black Sabbath bridge live camera \u2013 click here to access the live stream<\/a>.<\/p>\n![\"Ozzy](\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/0_Obit-Ozzy-Osbourne-25203723411638.jpg\")
