{"id":301281,"date":"2025-07-29T13:19:10","date_gmt":"2025-07-29T13:19:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/301281\/"},"modified":"2025-07-29T13:19:10","modified_gmt":"2025-07-29T13:19:10","slug":"huge-reservation-threatens-seventh-signing-as-gunners-to-only-proceed-on-two-key-conditions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/301281\/","title":{"rendered":"Huge &#8216;reservation&#8217; threatens seventh signing as Gunners to only &#8216;proceed&#8217; on two key conditions"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>According to reports, Arsenal have a \u2018reservation\u2019 about Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze and will only \u2018proceed\u2019 on two conditions.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.football365.com\/arsenal\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Arsenal<\/strong> <\/a>have made significant progress in the transfer market in recent weeks as they have finalised six summer signings, landing Kepa Arrizabalaga, Martin Zubimendi, Christian Norgaard,\u00a0Cristhian Mosquera and Viktor Gyokeres.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.football365.com\/news\/biggest-summer-spenders-2025-transfer-window-football\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>With these signings worth around \u00a3200m<\/strong><\/a>, the Gunners have secured most of their priority targets, but they remain in the market and are interested in England international <a href=\"https:\/\/www.football365.com\/tag\/eberechi-eze\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Eze<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The 27-year-old stepped up following Michael Olise\u2019s move to Bayern Munich as he contributed 25 goal involvements for the FA Cup winners in all competitions in 2024\/25.<\/p>\n<p>Eze was key to Palace winning their first FA Cup and qualifying for Europe at the end of last season and he has attracted interest from elsewhere amid reports claiming he has a release clause in his contract.<\/p>\n<p><strong>READ:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.football365.com\/news\/arsenal-liverpool-man-utd-shirt-number-gaps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Arsenal 10, Liverpool 6 and other shirt number gaps that reveal transfer desperation<\/a><br \/><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester City and Bayern Munich have also been linked with Eze, but <a href=\"https:\/\/www.football365.com\/news\/arsenal-structure-next-signing-revealed-deal-completed-smoothly-two-factors\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>a report from Caught Offside claims the Gunners are \u2018leading the race\u2019 to sign the attacking midfielder.<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The report revealed:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u2018Importantly, Arsenal are not looking to rush the deal. The Gunners are willing to wait until Crystal Palace secure a suitable replacement before sealing the transfer.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018To help sweeten the deal, Arsenal are also planning to offer winger Reiss Nelson as part of a player-plus-cash agreement. The England international has many admirers at Arsenal and would be keen to move to north London. In theory, it looks like a straightforward deal: Eze has a release clause in his contract worth in excess of \u00a360m.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018Arsenal have, however, had reservations about paying the full clause for a player who turned 27 last month. If Crystal Palace were to drop the price in the remaining weeks of the window, Arsenal would be keen to proceed. Naturally, sales would also give any pursuit of Eze a considerable boost.
