Fika is an independent family-run <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bristolpost.co.uk\/all-about\/cafes\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"cafe Link opens in a new tab.\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">cafe <\/a>which is serving up &#8216;Fikaccias&#8217;, as well as baps, jacket potatoes, salad bowls, and a range of hot and cold drinks.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">The name Fika is inspired by the Swedish tradition of &#8216;slowing down, connecting with others, and enjoying good food and coffee &#8211; a philosophy owners say is at the very core of this new local hangout&#8217;. Founded by husband-and-wife duo Peyman and Pampi, FIKA promises &#8220;more than just a quick bite: it\u2019s about pausing, sharing, and savouring&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Peyman and Pampi, both passionate food lovers with deep roots in hospitality, are bringing what they describe as their unique spin to the city\u2019s <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bristolpost.co.uk\/all-about\/food-and-drink\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"food Link opens in a new tab.\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">food <\/a>scene, with a menu built around one signature item &#8211; focaccia-loaded sandwiches, made fresh to order every single day. They describe it as having &#8220;soft, olive oil-kissed focaccia packed with bold, vibrant flavours and premium fillings that celebrate both quality and creativity&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">The team went onto say: &#8220;We also have a selection of jacket potato salad bowls and many other home-made fresh treats. We wanted to create a space where people could slow down, connect, and enjoy food that\u2019s made with care. The restaurant opened in January 2024, <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bristolpost.co.uk\/whats-on\/food-drink\/popular-bristol-cocktail-bar-restaurant-9010308\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"following the closure of the popular Aluna barLink opens in a new tab.\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">following the closure of the popular Aluna bar<\/a> on December 31, 2023.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">The Chinese restaurant <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.bristolpost.co.uk\/whats-on\/whats-on-news\/chinese-restaurant-bristol-served-bottomless-9629742\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"closed its doors suddenlyLink opens in a new tab.\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">closed its doors suddenly<\/a>, with the restaurant seemingly having been stripped of furniture, bar and fittings when BristolLive reported its closure in October.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Aluna, the popular cocktail bar, had resided in this location for around eight years, having opened back in 2015.
